Car description |
---|
Considering selling my 1972 240Z. It's geared to eventually be track car. The drivetrain is off of a 1983 280ZX turbo (L28ET, 5-speed Transmission, and R200 Posi Differential). The car is completely rust free, and all of the suspension is new/rebuilt.
I got the car in trade for my C3 Corvette. When I got it, the suspension and steering were re-done already, as well as the engine and differential. I dropped the T5 and got it rebuilt by Mike's Transmission in Livermore, CA.
Last few bits needed such as weatherstrips, exhaust, calibration of all the gauges, and tune on a Dyno. The gauge calibration will come with instructions on how to do it, based on the sending units.
Aside from the body of the car itself, I would say 99% of the car is essentially brand new or rebuilt. We're talking of:
-Rebuilt L28ET w/ new injectors
-Fuel injection by McKay Power Products
-Rebuilt 5-Speed Borg Warner T5
-Rebuilt R200 Posi
-All brand new bushings, ball joints, steering rack, motor mounts (literally all the rubber you can think of underneath the car)
-Coilover conversion
-Painless 21 circuit Wire Harness
-New carpets and new seats
-Fuel cell conversion, new fuel lines, hoses, fuel pump, fuel sending unit
-New cooling system (water pump, radiator, hoses, thermostat, etc)
-Brand new brake lines, calipers, rotors, pads, wheel cylinders, shoes, drums, master cylinder, braided hoses
-new clutch, master cylinder, slave cylinder
-New windshield and gasket
-New gauges
-Rebuilt half shafts and new driveline with new u-joints
-New diamond racing rims (16x8 front, 16x10 rears), with new wheels
-Strut bars, C-Pillar Brace by Techno Toy
-Four point seat belt harness
The car is set up to have flares, but the flares that came with the car were the cheap kind. So those will need to be purchased as well. The car comes with most of the exterior trim (except windshield trim). And I have most of the interior pieces, though not installed. It comes with stock door panels that have been re-covered in black vinyl. The upholstery needs to be finished in the car, but most are already there.
All the glass pieces are also included. There are now side mirrors bolted to the doors, and the wink mirror is also now installed. Most of the window trim are now installed and painted gold. The pictures are a few weeks outdated, but more pictures can be provided upon request.
The car is nowhere near perfect, so don't expect a show car. It's also not a done, turn-key car. I tried to describe the work that's been done to it already, and the work that needs to be done still. Obviously, once the next owner starts to drive it, they may notice a thing or two that needs to be tightened up or gone through again.
Despite the car being a project, it does start, run, and drive on/off the trailer. The car is located in Fresno area, but deliveries/pick up can be arranged.
NON REFUNDABLE $500 deposit due within 48 hours.
