1980 DATSUN 510 BROWN WAGON W/ ENGINE SWAP (NISSAN)********. *********This is a Brown, oderately beat up 1980 Datsun 510 Station Wagon, e are the second owners, nd it had a Nissan Z20 Rebuilt engine swap in 2000, ith all records to prove! Although the odometer was not changed, he paperwork shows clearly that the engine only has about 30,000 miles on it (As it sat for 8 years shortly after the swap). Following is ALL pertinent information we have about it, s honest as we can be, o ensure a FAIR SALE.PROS:-Recently replaced Alternator and belt-Just replaced Clutch Slave Cylinder (last month, CT.)-ALSO REPLACED CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER (OCT.)-Just replaced brakes and one rotor-Tires aren't great, wo had slow leaks and are flat, ut one of them is brand new-Full size spare-Runs like a champ-The minimal rust spots are not severe.-Heater works-Changed Head/Valve cover gasket a year ago-Does not burn excessive oil at all-Gets great gas mileage, hether in city or highway-Has been routinely maintained (although right now it is definitely due for an oil change)-Has all documents of work that has been done to it-Is mostly all original components in interior and most of engine-Brand new battery, s of 3 months-All doors and windows are intact and working (except that the passenger window has come off its - runner, o you can't roll it down without it falling into the door) EASY FIX-4-Speed Manual Transmission-Road ready: all lights, ignals, ipers work. No electrical issues.-Exterior chrome trim is all either there or we have them to put back on.-Locking gas cap with keys-Has always started right up and had no major issues-All gauges except for the temp gauge work-Exterior body and paint does not have any MAJORdents or blemishes. but a LOT of smaller ones (they do add up :/)CONS: (THIS IS WHY WE SAY MECHANIC'S SPECIAL, LTHOUGH IT BARELY QUALIFYS)-Although we have now replaced THE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER, e are not experienced mechanics and cannot identify exactly why it still won't go into gear (This is an easy fix for those who know what they are doing, e assume we possibly left something incomplete during the process)-Interior roof lining is torn up-Hatchback door does not latch completely and sits somewhat askew because of misaligned hinge-windshield must be resealed (weather strip) There are leaks that come out under the dash due to the seal that it currently has.-Passenger side window is simply off its runner-Three of the tires are old and cracked somewhat, nd should probably be replaced-Was victim of a catalytic converter thief, o exhaust system is gone all the way up .WE HAVE ALL THE PARTS NEEDED FOR THIS REPAIR AS WELL, nd they will come with the car.-Both Front seats' upholstery has rips and tears, river's seat could use a little padding.-No stereo that is hooked up and no speakers-Back interior is torn up a quite a bit (we've been using it like a truck for the past few months, crap metal loads and such) We're talking rips in the back floor lining, oose rubber seal for hatchback door (needs glued on is all), cratches and such on plastic components, nd many tears on the roof lining.-Tabs just recently expired, lean Title!-Exterior paint has consistent scratching from loading on roof, specially, nd hood....but no major dents. Very restorable, till.-Two tires are currently flat due to slow leaks.OVERALL, he repairs needed are quite minor and generally straightforward and simple for the trained professional. For Datsun/Nissan lovers, his car is a MUST see, nd would make a great and easy project.It will need to be towed on a flat bed. The flat tires can be pumped up.
