1948 Chrysler New Yorker, one of just 12 known, this spectacular 8 cylinder[rebuilt] with Overdrive[rebuilt] New Yorker is without question the finest in the world and tops 95 mph with ease. These motors were known to be bullet-proof and very dependable. Sporting is original factory 'Highlander' Scotch plaid wool interior, and brand new very expensive garnet carpeting; this car is ready to go anywhere and be shown at the finest Concours events in the country.
The Chrysler Fluid Drive transmission makes this car a pleasure to drive. Mated to a massive 135 hp straight eight 323.5 cu. in. engine, this car moves right down the road in modern highway traffic like there's nothing standing in its way. Want to own the best there is? Well here it is. She starts the first push of the button every single time without fail! There is no rust anywhere, and no signs of previous rust repair or body or frame damage. Yes this car is truly as nice as it appears in the photos. The paint job on this car is like a sheet of liquid glass with a highly detailed engine compartment and undercarriage. The chrome work is flawless and this car needs absolutely nothing, just drive and enjoy! Even all the window frames have been re-chromed and new glass and weatherstrip installed. Everything fits and seals perfectly. The top is new as well as the new glass and chrome surround for the convertible top. Both doors close with the push of a single finger! Gaps all the way around are also excellent, and that includes the hood as well.
