Would you like to get into the old car hobby without spending an arm and a leg? Maybe this 1986 Chrysler Turbo Convertible is your ticket. It has no rust and has never been rusted. It's been in my family since it was 6 months old. Always garaged and pampered. Engine runs great, trans shifts perfectly. It has power windows, door locks, tilt and cruise which all work perfectly. It has an upgraded stereo cd player with Bose speakers up front and co-axials in the rear so it sounds pretty good. Now for the disclosures: The windshield has a stress crack in it. It is equipped with AC, but it doesn't work because it needs an idler pulley to drive the compressor. I never worried about it because, well, it's a convertible! The power top goes down easily, but requires a little help to get it started going back up. The interior is in great shape except for the driver's seat which needs to be recovered. The prop rods which hold the trunk lid up are weak. That's it. I would have no qualms about taking this car on a 1000 mile trip with no problems.. In fact, I've done it many times. Unlike a lot of cars from the 30's thru the 50's this car runs and drives at highway speeds like a modern car. I'm moving and won't have garage space for it anymore so I'd like to sell it to someone who can enjoy it. Note: This car is also listed in Hemmings Motor News. First come first served.
