1985 Chrysler LeBaron coupe 2-door TIME CAPSULE CLASSIC
A true "time-capsule" classic!
This 1985 Chrysler LeBaron 2 door is a real rarity, a survivor from the "K-Car" era.
This pristine example has barely 86,000 miles on it. It was carefully maintained and garage-kept by its prior Florida owner.
It drove from Tampa, to Orlando, to Jacksonville, to St. Simons Island and back to Bentonville, Arkansas without missing a beat. The A/C is icy-cold, even the cruise control works. Plus, it got 25 MPG for the trip.
Exterior- The paint is original, shiny and perfect. There is one tiny paint chip on the drivers rocker panel and one tiny rust spot on the drivers door bottom, that's it. A bit of steel wool and touch-up paint will correct that. I am leaving all as-is so the new owner can decide what level of polish to give this diamond.
Some of the anodized aluminum trim is a little dull and the chrome in the bodyside moldings has some minor wear. The original vinyl top is not quite perfect as it has some tiny cuts. Again, this can be corrected very inexpensively, but the purist may want to replace the entire surface.
The hubcaps are flawless. I put new Hankook Optima tires on before leaving Florida; these might last another 32 years!
Interior- More of the same on the inside. The drivers seat shows some minor wear as does the carpet in the drivers foot well. The headliner has a couple of very minor flaws and there are two tiny (smaller than a pencil lead) red spots on the passenger front seat. It has a brand new JVC CD (and MP3) player which sounds good. The dash has a minor crack on the plastic.
Mechanical- The 2.2 TBI engine fires right up and runs perfect. The brakes and transmission are flawless. The AC is ice cold. NO leaks NO smoke of any kind. It is in amazing mechanical condition. There is an occasional belt squeak and that is the only mechanical flaw, if you could call it that.
If you have any questions, call.
I would be happy to pickup the buyer at XNA (Fayetteville/Springdale/Bentonville) airport if he/she wants to fly in and drive home.
Also, if you want to transport it, there is a nearby open area for a transport to park.
