Car description |

Up for auction is an incredible preservation find. This is an early production Chrysler Lebaron convertible. The first few hundred produced were called Mark Cross Medallion Editions and were sold only by select Chrysler dealers. This is one of those cars. Showing and amazing and original 19,000 MILES! I am the second owner. The first owner brought it in hopes it would be a valuable collectors item one day and kept the car in a climate controlled garage its entire life. Everything about this car appears to be the way it left the factory. Right down to the ORIGINAL TIRES!!
According to the original owner, the car has never been exposed to the elements, having never even seen a drop of rain. The car still carries the wire wheel removal instruction sticker (see pics) and complimentary Mark Cross leather key FOB and umbrella. Something I've never seen with one of these cars.
I'm a long time Chrysler employee and in all my years have not seen as clean an example as this. Is it perfect? No. There is a small tear in the top that appears to have been repaired with some sort of silicone (see pic). If I were to nit pick I could probably find a few other flaws here and there but would be hard pressed to find them. These cars were never perfect when they left the factory. Overall, this is the cleanest example I've seen.
Mechanically it starts and runs like a top. It's equipped with the Mitsubishi 2.6 4 cylinder engine that was the optional 'larger' displacement over the smaller 2.2. All Medallions where equipped with the 2.6. The engine compartment is incredibly clean. You could eat off of it. I have a walk around video of the car running I can forward to any interested party. These Medallions where all fully equipped with all the power and convenience options Chrysler offered at the time. Everything on this car works. Even the digital clock keep good time.
I love this car but just have too many toys and this car deserves to be enjoyed and driven. My reserve is much lower than I paid. I believe the car is worth far more but I'd just like it to go to a good home.
A $500 PayPal deposit is due within 24 hours of auctions end with the remainder due within 7 days of that. I can work with buyer regarding shipping. Bid with confidence. PLEASE make sure you can afford and have your partners permission before bidding!! Non paying bidders will be reported. Any questions, feel free to ask. I am not a dealer. I'm a collector.
