Car description |
---|
I've owned this car for the past 8 years and done almost allof the improvements and maintenancework myself. The carhas a factory 365HP 413/ 4 barrel and an original interior. The dash has zero rips/cracks and seats are near perfect. The headliner is pretty flawless. The carpet has some fading and wear but has no rips or tears. Overall the interior door panels are in great shape with minor wear for their age.All features work except for the dash clock. I just never bothered to have it redone.
The paint and body have some issues but overall solid doors, floors and rockers. There is one rusted/flakey bracket in the unibody on the driver underside, but has never been a problem and the passenger rear door has show through rust at the pinch weld in one spot. I went through great effort to get all clean/straight trim back on the car inside and out where it was needed.
I bought it from a guy who owned it since 1966 It had 46000 miles on the clock when I bought it and he swore that was authentic. At 49000 miles, the odometer stuck as some of these do because the plastic gears strip, so actual miles are not known. The speedo works fine. The car is very reliable and is my daily driver in nice weather. The doors, hood, and trunkall line up very well and open/close without issues. I replaced the passenger side window/roof sealas it had a rip - the other side is original and in great shape, but I have the spare new one that comes with the car and these seals are not cheap.Basically the car is loaded with every option except cruise control and tilt column. It's kept in a heated garage. Here are more details:
Original 413 4 barrel
Waldron dual exhaust with 'imposter' mufflers (appear factory, but with deeper note) - no resonators,
Original 727 trans with external seals replaced - DOES NOT LEAK, and shifts great.
Custom period-correct flake paint roof and hood scallops
Chrome 5 spoke custom 15" rims on Coker wide whitewall radials
New Gabriel front shocks
New Gabriel rear air shocks
Hood pin striping done and signed by Wild Bill
Custom chrome large diameter boloney cut rolled-end exhaust tips
Factory A/C works great and does not have any crappy service hoses that are hose-clamed to the lines. These are originals.

Electronic original-appearance voltage regulator
Rebuilt originalalternator
Rebuilt original carter AFB carburetor
Detailed engine bay
