First things First Please read this part before you look at the pics or anything. No trades at all. No I dont want your boat chopper harley or anything else for that matter. Only selling this truck to fund another project. Really hate to see it go. Please make sure you ask your wife before you bid and that your funds are in order to purchase the truck if you are the winning bidder. This truck is sold as is where is. Now that we have all of that out of the way Here is the build specs. Thanks1948 Chevy 3100Cummins 4bt swapped Bagged30+ MPG5 speedYou are bidding on a one of a kind awesome well built truckThis truck turns heads everywhere it goes. And I can assure you I doubt you will find another one anywhere else around like this one. No corners were cut on this buildChassis:The chassis is a 1988 Chevy s10All new ball joints tie rod ends idler arm etc. were used2'' drop spindles up front with 7'' Slam bagsAlso has shocks and a front sway barThe rear end is from a 82-92 body style camaro. It is disc brake too. It is all brand newHas a brand new eaton posi unit with a 3.08 ring gearAll new bearings seals brake calipers and all were used.4 link rear suspension with shocks and 8'' slam bags on the rear20 gallon fuel tank and battery along with all the air ride componets are mounted below the bed floorNew brake calipers and pads and rotars all the way around as well.Air Ride:7'' Slam bags up front8'' Slam bags in the rearAccuair Vu4 manifold controls the truck with a 7 switch Avs switch box wired to the manifold.Has a 8 gallon tank and Dual Viar 480c compressorsHave a port plumbed in the tank that you can plug an air hose into as well to air tires up or run a impact gun etc.Dual needle gauges for the bag pressures and a tank pressure gauge mounted inside the cab hidden behind one of the dash panelsEngine and Trans:Cummins 4bt (4 cylinder turbo diesel)Engine runs great and holds 50-60 psi of oil pressure going down the roadFixed KDP (killer dowel pin) Google it if you dont understandNew front seal New rear main New water pump New timing cover gasket New valve cover gaskets New oil pan gasket (Oil pan is leaking a small amount. Was gonna fix it when it was due for a oil change again)Replaced several o rings in the injection pump. Its the bosch VE PumpHas a stage 2 fuel pinTrans is out of a early 90's ford f150. Its a 5 speedFlywheel was resurfacedNew clutch pressure plate Throw out bearing Pilot bearing New clutch master cylinder. It has A/C and heat. I had the A/C working but I keep having trouble with my compressor brakcets I made. Not sure I will have it fixed before someone else takes ownership of the truck. Everything is done for the A/C but the compressor bracket needs to be designed a different way. Heat works just fine.InteriorInterior still needs some work. I painted the dash with a textured iron furniture paint made by krylon. I did the door jambs in this same paint too. It has brand new dolphin 5'' quad gauges. They are all hooked up and working too. New 12 circuit ez wiring harness. Sparyed the floor and the area overhead where the headliner goes with lizard skin ceramic and sound deadner. Under dash A/C and heat unit. Bench seat from a late 80's Chevy silverado. In great shape. Has a small wear place on the drivers seat bottom. Turn signal indicators and high beam indiacator mounted on the lower part of the dash (didnt want to drill the dash to mount them)Have a small tach mounted on on the underside of the dash too.Exterior:This is a 1948 Chevy truck it was a one owner truck bought off a farm in Virginia. The old man that bought it worked the truck on his farm most all of its life until he passed away and left it to his grandson which decided to sell it to me at that point. This truck has its fair share of bumps and brusies but I think that just adds to the look. We patched the Cab corners inner door bottoms lower cowel inner kick panels and wheel welds floors and cab braces. All rust in the cab has been fixed. Cab has been undercoated too. The bed and fenders and tailgate has a small amount of rust in it but I didnt want to disrupt anymore of mother natures work than I had too. This truck runs and drives awesome and I have already put almost 4k miles on it all of which have been pretty much trouble free with the exception of a few small bugs to work out. Getting 30+ mpg around town and around 35 mpg on the highway. I ran one tank of fuel mostly all highway miles and went 565 miles on that tank. When I stopped to fill up I still had 4 gallons left in the tank. Do the math on that 565 miles / 16 gallons of fuel comes to 35.3 mpg. Not to bad if you ask me. Considering this thing is making almost 300 ft lbs of torque it will get down the road pretty good. Im sure ive left out some stuff but if you have any questions all you have to do is ask. I can be reached on here or you are welcome to text or call me at 828-217-2546.
