Car description

Hello. You are bidding on a Los Angeles built 1968 Camaro project. This car has been sitting since 2002.Since Ibought it I drained theold gas out of it replaced all of the rubber fuel lines put a fuel filter on fresh gas and got it running. Previous owner didn`t have a titleso I went through the process and now have a clear title in my name. This car was possibly a real SS but I have no documents to prove that.

Cowl tag reads:

09E S268

ST 68 12437 LOS 04281 BODY

TR 717 L-2 PAINT

Condition is as follows:

Drivetrain:

V8 engine fires right up and runs good does not smoke. The engine fired right up and idled nice when I put fresh gas through it the first time. I never even had to set the timing or turn an idle screw it ran that good!Carb is a Rochester Qjet 4 bbl distributor is a factory style HEI. Recent paint on the motor itself leads me to believe that it isremanufactured. It does not have fuelie heads or anything that leads me to believe that it is original to the car. Previous owner said it`s a 307 but I have not confirmed that. Idles like stock so figure that the motor does not have any speed parts in it. Has a good brake pedal and I don`t see any signs of leaks but plan on checking the brakes to be safe. Most of the factory wiring looks intact but it will need some bulbs/repair/splicing to make everything work properly again. Has factory power steering but power steering isn`t working at this time. Steering column is tight but may need a new canceling cam for the blinker switch. Shifter is a Vgate and works good. Tranny shifts good. Clutch works but has a little chatter when disengaging. Has B U code 12 bolt rear and multi leaf springs and perches. Also has factory3/8 fuel line aswell. This car runs. drives and stops but that is about it. This car still needs a decent amount of work before planning on driving on the street. Remember this car has been sitting for 13 years.

Body:

Floors are great no rust on the dash or around windows that I can see. Door jambs are good. Trunk extensions and wheel well lips look good taillight panel looks good. Quarter panels look good. Doors open and close nice no sagging. Glass is good. Front clip is straight has a minor wrinkle around the passengers front wheel well. The only rust I see is on the lowest part of the front fenders. Small and very repairable. I bought this car as is so I am simply telling you what I see as I did not do the body or paint.

Interior:

Mostly stock other than 69 Camaro bucket seats shifterand a non stock steering wheel. Obviously needs a complete interior kit but is mostly intact.
