Seatbelts-Front SELLER REMARKS Pro-street isn't dead and you can have a heck of a lot of fun terrorizing the neighborhood with this brutal 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. There's no shortage of horsepower here. and the built drivetrain and suspension are designed to make maximum use of every bit of it. It's also got a civilized interior and good street manners. so you can actually drive and enjoy it without keeping a flatbed on standby. You should probably count on being the center of attention with this Camaro. It's not radical at first glance. but after spending some time with it. you'll appreciate the custom mods. It's been shaved of all emblems and you'll note those flush-mounted door handles which are a neat trick that doesn't jump out at you. The side marker lights are gone. too. and there's a Trans Am style rear wing on the deck. which is an OEM way of looking a little different. There's also a cowl-induction hood and the gas tank filler was deleted from the rear panel. so this car looks very smooth from nose to tail. The vivid red paint is bright. no doubt about that. and the quality is good enough that you can take it anywhere with pride and yet not worry about bugs or rain getting on it. It's driver-grade. and there's absolutely no shame in that. The chrome bumpers are a nice contrast to all that red and the simple blacked-out grille makes a statement. even without SS badges. The very nicely finished interior is totally street friendly. which is really the point of pro-street. High-back buckets are upholstered in gray fabric that looks OEM. and feels comfortable for long cruises. Matching door panels and full carpets help keep things nice and civilized inside. although things like the 6-point cage tend to tip off the onlookers. The dashboard is full of Auto Meter gauges set into the individual Camaro pods and a cool billet steering wheel with a leather wrapper looks and feels great. The B&M shifter dominates the center console area and you know this car has serious performance potential on tap when you see 4-point harnesses and a fire extinguisher. which are also part of the pro-street look. There's actually a full back seat crammed in back there. even with the mini-tubbed rear wheels. but they've skipped such niceties as a radio and heater. which don't help it go faster anyway. The trunk is outfitted with a fuel cell and Optima battery. and shows off some rather nice fabrication work. too. With a 410 cubic inch small block. you know performance is going to be entertaining. Built for combat. it's got JE forged aluminum pistons inside. roller cam and rockers. aluminum heads. and a big Holley carburetor up top. Cast aluminum valve covers look cool and the race-grade plumbing certainly adds to the pro-street attitude. There's a big aluminum radiator up front with a powerful electric fan to keep the air moving. while long-tube headers dump into a custom exhaust system with race-spec mufflers and turn-downs just ahead of the rear axle. The front suspension has been converted to rack-and-pinion steering. while the rear is a custom 9-inch with 3. 70s and an Auburn Posi inside. The TH350 3-speed automatic transmission features a 3500 RPM stall torque converter to really get things moving. Classic Weld aluminum wheels are fitted with skinny 195/65/15 front and giant 275/60/15 Mickey Thompson rubber to complete the look. Built for speed. this awesome Camaro also looks fantastic. If you like the idea of a race car for the street. this is an awesome way to do it.
