1976 Camaro Type LT. I purchased this car in 1988. I drove it daily for a few months then decided to pull engine and clean and paint engine compartment. Life Happens - marriage, kids, house, job. My brother needed an engine for his 1980 LeMans so we put the motor (305 2BBL) from this car in it. The previous owner had a fender bender with left front. The subframe where the bumper bolts on was straightened by body shop - very minor. I replaced left fender, hood, bumper, header, core support and headlight bucket. These parts were used and not great shape so i bought some beautiful rust free 1978 Z28 parts and replaced the front clip. I still have the deck lid (trunk) and spoiler, not on the car. This car sat in my garage for 18 years waiting for time and money to be invested. In 2006 I built a motor (350), bought a transmission (350 turbo) and got it back on the road. I drove it a few dozen times as I fixed it up. NEW: gas tank with sending unit, carpet, dash pad, BMR tubular control arms, drilled and slotted brake rotors, monroe front shocks, calipers, pads, ALL front steering components (tie rods, links, idler) gauges gages and other small items. The car sat again until 2013 because I was traveling for work and worked alot. in 2013 i decided to paint it. Not to be a show car but to keep it protected from the elements. I've included a couple pics of body before paint. As you can see this car is in great shape and now has a coat of protectant. The front clip had some custom fabrication done to make it work. I did not want the rubber bumper but I am very particular when it comes to function. The header was cut, re-inforced, brackets were added and some blending was done to make it look OK. I understand this may seem stupid or crazy but it was an idea that I had as a young man and I wanted to see it through. And did. If someone is interested but wants more work done, or un-done, send proposal. I do not have any body panels for 74-77 gen2 camaros. I do have 3 totes of various small parts. The A/C was deleted but I do have the heater box with ac coil and such. The heater and defroster is functioning without compressor of course. I have had 4 different motor combinations in this car so some pics may have a setup that has been sold. Currently it has a 350 Vortec block +.040 with LT1 flat top coated skirt pistons, Scat crank and rods, .530 lift roller cam, custom CNC aluminum heads 58CC 210 runners, roller rockers, Victor Jr. intake, holley 650 DP, electric fuel pump, Hooker Super Comp headers, True dual exhaust full length, 2.73 Gov-loc posi, 350 turbo epoxy painted, 1800 stall converter, big aluminum radiator with electric fans, serpentine belt setup, vaccuum assist for brake booster (power brakes even when not running). The motor is fresh with no miles. Just broke in and some tuning time. I did my first cam swap to the original 305 in 1989. My inexperience led to forgetting to plug in vaccuum hose to brake booster. I could not get it to idle so i called my father inlaw and he said bring it over. He was 1/2 mile away so i tried to feather gas to keep it running and threw it in reverse. the driveway was narrow and the house chimney was in the driveway. Backing out, hit the brake, pedal was hard as a rock and did not stop. Sideswiped the drivers side from quarter panel to door mirror. Knocking the mirror off. One of the worst days of my life. Dented the body line of left quarter and door skin. This led to the decision to park it and fix it up. In 2013 I sanded the Earl Shieb brown paint job off of it and the original "medium saddle" paint was still in great shape. There was some previous body work done on trunk lid (hail damage) and I did a little to the dents to make it look OK. I put epoxy primer and eurethane gold paint on it. The underside and wheelwells and subframe has been coated with "chassis saver". I have pics before paint if wanted. Most of the usual soft spots were very good shape. I did put a couple swipes of filler behind rear wheel size of dollar bill. The car is very solid and i did not bondo the H out of it. It has waves but its not bondo, its steel. Couple dents were filled, nothing major. Complete details to new owner. New carpet was installed but I did not finish it with trimming and thresholds. Nor did I do any work to floor on inside. My plan was to add insulation, sound deadening before finishing carpet. floor pans do NOT need replacement. I can pull carpet and take pics with deposit for sale. There is and has been window tint on doors and rear. It is purple in color and door window has some flaws. my plan was to replace it. I put all new rubber seals around windows, doors and trunk. New chrome trim pieces for door rubber. It has the original windshield and small crack on very lowest passenger side. Manual roll down windows. I put gen3 camaro front seats in it and have the rear seats to match, for upholstery or custom fab to make work. This car is complete and driveable right now (after bringing it to life since winter storage). Tires are old (bought in 2006) but very low miles, dryrot from sitting and oversprayed. I have a mint set of wheels in gold, same style as ones on it. No tires on them. I have new door panels (not installed) and the ones i took off. I had to use some parts from old ones to put on new ones. Holes need to be cut for window crank, mirror remote and clips. I have new clips. I did not finish installing because i wanted to sound proof / insulate inside doors. The trunk floor is solid and original paint. I have a lot of extras that could be included for right price: Holley MPFI stealth ram system, friction disc posi unit, 3.73 gear set, 10 bolt rebuild kit, 350 turbo HP parts, various speakers, air induction flap / solenoid. There is no radio or speakers. did have 6x9 in rear and one 2x4 up front. If you need more pics or have any questions send a message. Send offers but be real. Most cars of this era need everything. I have done a lot to preserve this classic. You could call it a ratrod.
