This is an iconic 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu coupe that pays tribute to the cool Super Sport style. In fact, this one takes it up a notch with terrific upgrades like an A/C interior, overdrive transmission, and serious big block power. It makes for a true muscle car classic offered at quite an attractive price.
This is the year that launched the Chevelle/Malibu, and so it's always going to be a valued classic. We love the crisp lines and pillarless hardtop profile that make these an icon from the start. But you weren't attracted to this one because of its history. Instead, it loves to announce it's something special right up front with the tall cowl hood made of lightweight fiberglass and secured with hood pins. Plus, the ProStar wheels are staggered 14/15 inches front/rear and the rear rubber is extra meaty - all to give this an intimidating forward-leaning stance. You'd expect to pay more for an upgraded classic like this. So the value price leaves room in your budget if you want to make improvements to the paint or add personalized touches down the road. But there's already something irresistible about a clean and complete first-year SS tribute that also has some street-eating attitude.
The interior is a custom setup that gives you a touch of the premium Malibu feeling but in more modern ways. For example, the upholstery features comfy cloth inserts. There are nice upgrades like deeply tinted windows, an AM/FM/CD stereo tucked away in the glovebox, and air conditioning running R134a refrigerant. But just like the exterior, the real attraction here is about the sporty upgrades. You have front bucket seats, a B&M floor shifter, a Grant GT sports steering wheel, and an upgraded set full of AutoMeter Pro-Comp gauges.
The smooth and dark inner fenders of the engine bay funnel your attention to the bright 454 cubic-inch big block in the middle. There's a nice polish on the valve covers, air grabber, alternator, fan shroud, and more. But what you'll really love are all the extra-power additions. This big block has a Holley 600 CFM four-barrel carburetor, Holley Street Dominator aluminum intake, and headers that add power while producing a great muscle car growl out of the dual exhaust. There are even nice supporting components, like an aluminum radiator, steel braided lines, and a Mallory distributor/coil. The 700R4 transmission four-speed automatic transmission is a great upgrade that has both a stout construction and overdrive ease. It's part of a solid driving package that includes power steering, power brakes, and front discs.
This is a strong driving example of the car that launched an icon. So don't let this Chevelle Malibu SS tribute slip away. Call today!!!
