This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Tribute has an awesome look, awesome big block power, and awesome features (like the A/C interior). So this is your chance at being awesome with just the turn of a key.
The color on this one looks close to Daytona Yellow, and that really makes this feel like a Super Sport tribute done right. After all, this color was only offered on the Chevelle SS, and this is a newer application with a vibrant clearcoat shine. This is nicely contrasted by the black stripes that were cleared over with the paint. Plus, there's more to this dark side with the SS grille, blacked-out rear panel, and tinted windows. And the black vinyl roof coordinates nicely while also drawing attention to the fast-back style roofline. There are more terrific sporty details, like the working cowl induction hood, hood pins, and the large dual exhaust tips. Of course, an iconic classic American needs good brightwork, and so there was a solid investment in the bumpers and trim. Plus, the 20-inch American Racing wheels nicely brings together this coupe's sporty and shining package.
The black interior is what we love to see on muscle machines, and it looks particularly nice here as it coordinates with the exterior accents. The bucket seats, center console, and horseshoe shifter get the classic Super Sports feeling right. But there are also worthwhile upgrades for performance and comfort. For example, you have Chevy's three-spoke sports steering wheel on a tilt column and round gauge package, and now it's supplemented by a full auxiliary gauge trio and a large AutoMeter Autogage tach. The stereo has a classic knob-style presentation, but it's a modern AM/FM digital tuner with aux input for your IPod. It's your gateway to the upgraded speaker system with Rockford Fosgate subwoofer in the trunk. And since the air conditioning is blowing cold with modern R134a, feel free to roll down all the windows on this pillarless hardtop and crank up your favorite driving music.
Under the hood is what we all want in our Chevelles: big block power. This 454 cubic-inch V8 looks quite nice with some polished upgrades and a proper gasket around the air intake to seal it to the fresh air cowl hood. This big block has all the right go-fast goodies like a Holley 770 CFM Street Avenger four-barrel carburetor, Winters aluminum intake, HEI ignition, and Hooker headers feeding into a Magnaflow dual exhaust. And there's even an aluminum radiator with dual electrical fans to keep this big block running cool even when you have A/C running. There are more stout components, like a new driveshaft, boxed rear arms, and a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission with deep pan and 2500 RPM stall converter. You even have newer sway bars front & rear. It's a total power package made for driving, and that's why you have power steering, power brakes with discs up front, and the grip of modern ZR-rated tires.
This is a bold, comfortable, aggressive, and iconic big block Chevelle. Oh yeah, this one won't be sticking around very long. So don't miss your chance. Call today!!!
