*The part numbers are the ones that are actually on the parts. The interpretation of the date codes are to the best of our knowledge but threw our research seem correct. On Nov-13-20 at 08:40:01 PST, seller added the following information:
This fantastic car is truly a numbers matching and date coded car. The engine and transmission IDs match the VIN and the parts that have date codes fall in the range of build date. This car was built in the 3rd week of November 1968 so date coded parts have a 1968 date code. The carburetor, starter, water pump and alternator were all professionally rebuilt to keep the car correct. Even the seat belts have the correct date on their tags.
The car had a rotisserie restoration. The Lemans blue paint and white interior with white convertible top is spectacular. The car has P/S and P/B. The AM radio and clock are working. The A/C was rebuilt, has no issues, and now runs cold with new Freon 12. Gauges are working well.
This is a very rare car. I have not been able to find another big block (396), convertible, 4-speed manual transmission that is equipped with factory A/C.
