This 1990 Chevrolet Silverado 454 SS is a big block muscle truck with added appearance and power features that make it extra appealing, especially at this affordable price.
These trucks have an awesome blackout style direct from Chevy. The grille, front bumper, sport mirrors, and paint are all part of a well-coordinated intimidation with just the right hint of red in the badging. These elements are quite stock. So while this one leaves money in the budget if you want to improve it further, we already like having the fundamentals remain original. Especially because the panels and gaps look this good. Plus, they did add the right amount upgrades for a little added distinction. A mean muscle truck deserves a cowl induction style hood; the lowered stance brings extra attention to the upgraded 15-inch polished wheels; and flush rear roll pan is there to help highlight the Corvette-style quad exhaust tips.
These were the muscle cars of trucks, and so you get an aggressive full red interior with proper bucket seats. There's a full set of great features, like power windows, power locks, cup holders, a locking center console, tilt steering column, sliding rear window, and cruise control. You even have nice upgrades, like an AM/FM/CD stereo, and the air conditioning was recently serviced to keep blowing cold.
What made these special Silverados earn their intimidating looks with the 454 cubic-inch big block power under the hood. This comes from the grand muscle car tradition of Chevy grabbing the largest motor they had, and the shoehorning it into one of the smallest/lightest bodies for exceptional performance. These engines were initially intended to do work, but then were installed in an 800-pound lighter pickup... so you know this fuel-injected powerhouse adds real muscle to this short bed pickup. Plus, you can spot that this one was given some nice upgrades like the Spectre dual plenum air intake, Edelbrock Performer intake, March pulley system, and headers that add power while contributing to the rumble of the dual exhaust. The TH400 three-speed automatic transmission and a 14-bolt Positraction rear end are stout components that help deliver reliable performance. This one is also quite capable on the road thanks to a sports car-like ratio on the power steering and rear end. There's also power brakes with discs up front and wide BF Goodrich T/As at all four corners.
Complete with owner's manual, this is the modern and loaded classic muscle truck, and it's offered for a terrific price. Call now!
