Beautiful All Original 1965 Chevrolet Impala Barn Find!
Here we have for sale a gorgeous, all original 1965 Chevy Impala 4 door sedan. This is barn find that we bought from the second, long term owner who bought the car back in 1975 and drove it up until 1985. It sat in the barn for 35 years before I uncovered it. It was grandma owned and driven for the whole time. This car is stunning. It has all of its original paint, numbers matching 327 engine, interior, wheel covers, and everything. The only thing changed on the whole car is the new bias ply whitewall tires the battery, and the fuel system. I replaced the whole fuel system, put a brand new fuel tank, sender, fuel pump and rubber fuel lines on the car. I rebuilt the original carburetor and put new spark plugs in the car and it runs just wonderfully. This is the nicest, most smooth running and driving old car I have ever had the pleasure of owning. It’s incredible when you drive it, between the nice and quiet interior and smooth and powerful 327 engine mated to the 2 speed automatic transmission. This Impalas is quiet amazing to drive. The car only has 70k original miles and how tight and quiet it drives, confirms that. There isn’t any rattles or squeaks. The transmission works well. It has factory power steering which makes turning effortless. The brakes work very well and stop the big Impala fast. I replaced the fan belts and changed the engine oil. So it’s ready to cruise. I just took it for a couple hour drive and it drove flawlessly. No issues whatsoever. The original paint has been fully detailed and polished. With only premium car detailing products used. It really brought the shine out on the car. I put a full layer of glaze and wax on the paint to protect it for months and months. It has some chips and imperfections in it. The chrome is beautiful and shines like new. The grille is very nice and straight. The car appears to have all of its original glass and it’s all in beautiful shape with no cracks. The body is real straight with some dings in the back quarters and on the rear bumper and wheel trim around the car. The passenger side back door has a dent that was partially pulled out. It’s there, not easily seen unless you knew it was there. It’s hard to even tell in the pictures. There is only one area of rust and it’s in the passenger side front fender. It’s so minor but just wanted to note it. The rest of the car and frame are in amazing condition. Most of the frame has nice original black paint on it. The more you polish the frame, the better it gets and reveals its original black paint. The trunk is in stellar shape with its original complete spare tire, jack, and everything. It has its original mat that’s in great shape and the trunk light works too. The interior is incredible in the car. It’s all original and in excellent condition. The seats, carpet, headliner, dash, radios, steering wheel and everything. The dash is just beautiful on the Impala and everything works in it. All of the gauges in the dash work, the original Am/fm radio works, and even the original clock. The interior lights all work. The Impala still has its original seat belts in it. The rear seats have little to no wear on them. The steering wheel is in excellent condition. The door panels are in excellent condition. The driver seat has a split in a seam. It has some wear on it and the material is getting thin. It will need to be repaired. You can get a brand new matching seat cover or you can repair the spot. I have sourced original material at SMS fabrics online and have talked to my upholstery guy here in Reno and that area in the seat is repairable. Order a yard of the oem fabric and most capable upholstery shops should be able to easily fix that for the interior to remain 100% original. I have the original key for it. The electrical all works in the car. Interior and exterior. Overall this is a very nice, all original 1965 Impala. It’s not perfect but it’s something that you can jump in and have one of the most amazing rides you can want in a vintage car. It’s probably rides nicer then most new cars. Jump in this collectible classic and you can immediately take you family on a cruise and have a blast in the car. I can store the car for up to a month so that the car is paid for and it’s picked up. Shipping is the buyers responsibility. I accept cash, check, wire transfer or money order. I have the original 1976 Clear Nevada title in the previous owners name. The mother had passed away and she daughter is her power of attorney and is able to sign the title off. I would get it transferred in my name but DMV doesn’t have any appointments available until the first of next year. All because of the pandemic. I can provide a bill of sale if needed. Please ask any and all questions that you may have. My phone number is 775-830-6760. Thanks for looking!
