Car description |

Everyone loves the older 'square' body style Chevys. This is the last year for the square body and the first year for the much-superior 4L80e transmission. The older Suburbans had the weak 700r4 trans. Also, this has the factory fuel injection, so no fussy carburetors to mess with!
This truck gets the looks wherever it goes. The values on these old trucks are only going up. Don't let this one slip by!
Decent gas mileage for it's size: 14 mpg Hwy.Originally an all-black truck, it was repainted once and it still shows well.Does not drip oil, burn oil nor does it blow blue smoke.Engine runs great and has no ticks or noises.Equipped with front and rear air conditioning, and yes it works.Has the desirable long-range 40 gallon gas tankFront quad shocksCustom 17 inch rimsRust-free southern truck
The following items have been replaced within the last 3 years:All new front steering components including steering boxHedman heavy-duty 14 gauge headers with high-temp coatingCustom dual exhaustNew brakesNew starterNew motor mountsRebuilt 4L80e transmission and torque converterNew fuel pumpPIAA super loud electric horns
Minor things that I would fix if I had the time:Headliner is droopy (common on these old trucks)Electric door locks work when locking, but not for unlockingRadio sometimes cuts the sound to the speakersFront electric windows barely work (rear work fine).
I'm the 3rd owner and have owned and loved this truck for 3 years. I acquired it from my brother and he owned it for about 6 years. The truck has always been loved and pampered and is very reliable. I once took it on a road trip from Florida to Ohio and back! The only reason I'm selling is that I bought a new sports car and don't have the room for 4 vehicles.
