For sale is an absolutely beautiful, no expense spared, fully restored 1969 RS/SS Camaro Convertible. This Camaro is a true X66 code SS396 car that was built into a Restomod. There is nearly $150k invested in this car. The car has only been driven approximately 1,500 miles since completion.
The car is now equipped with a 496 Big Block Chevy stroker motor built by Art Davidson of Davidson Racing in Olympia, Wa. The 496 is backed by a Tremec T-56 6 speed manual transmission accompanied by a 4.11 12 bolt posi rear in the stock rear axle housing. A full Speed and Engineering tubular front suspension kit with drop spindles has been fitted along with 4 wheel Baer disc brakes. The car is also equipped with a full Vintage Air A/C system.
The body and paint on this car was done by Hoey Autobody in Olympia, Wa to the tune of $30,000. The paint is simply flawless and is one of the best all around paint jobs I have seen. The body looks just as good up on a lift as it does on the ground. It is incredibly straight and thoroughly covered.
The interior was completed by Lonco upholstery in the original Ivory color. The car has a matching Ivory convertible top and boot as well. The data tag shows a trim code of 727 designating factory bucket seats in Ivory color.
The undercarriage of this car is incredibly clean and detailed. The entire subframe has been blasted and powder coated. The firewall was painted down to the floor pans. All new hardware was used in assembly. The gas tank was also powder coated before assembly.
This car is truly one of the nicest and most tastefully restored/modified Camaros I have ever seen.
