Car description |
---|
1965 Corvette convertible project car. Original VIN and trim tags, clear title. Major project, needs a complete body-off restoration. Most all original parts need to be restored or replaced. I was told the car had a carburetor fire in mid-70's, the damaged front end was removed and the car stored in an old barn, untouched, until purchased in 2019.
Original Glen Green (G-G) paint (badly faded), Dark Green (430B) vinyl interior, AO Smith body. NOM, originally a 327/250 or 300hp, Powerglide, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows. A partially dis-assembled 1962 283 short block, is currently in the car. The speedometer shows 41,121 miles, the car still has the rare 65-early 67, 1st design brake calipers, front and rear.
The frame is badly rusted in front of the rear wheels and passenger side #3 body mount. A good used C3 automatic frame is included in this auction, for a C2 frame conversion, with all suspension, power steering and 3:08 posi. The lower windshield frame is also rusted, at the A-pillars, the inner/outer sections will need repair or replacement.
All parts included in this auction, are shown on the car: A used older 1 piece, hand laid front end (early Eckler?, just screws hold it in place), used original 1965 hood and aftermarket Smoothline hardtop. No other parts will be included, in this auction. Please look at the pictures and ask any questions, as the car is "Sold As Is". No trades.
