Car description |

I've decided I have too many projects and am offering my 65 for sale.I've owned it for over 8 years. Is it a legit 396 Roadster in need of a full restoration. It is missing the original motor and transmission. It came to me without both! Everything else is there. Original color is Glen Green with a white convertible top and dark green leather interior. I believe this car's been off the road since about 1977. The body is straight and in nice shape. The frame is solid but scaly with surface rust.
All shipping costs to be paid by the winning bidder.

I have had many folks ask the same questions so I want to addthe following information to the listing:
- I do not have any paper documentation of the car being and original 396 car.
-However, the car does have ALL of the items that would indicate it being a real 396car. Correct Throttle arm (pictured), Battery tray on the left/drivers side (pictured), Battery access panel in the left fender well (pictured), 6500 red line tachometer (pictured), 80lb oil pressure gauge (pictured),rear sway bar (pictured), correct style universal joint caps, big block hood, hood support on the right side, big block core support with correct holes for the TI resistor mounting, production date fits the window that these cars were produced. All of the items listed have 50+ years of patina and could not have been added. I have a bicentennial license tag from 1976/1977 Michigan which is probably the last time the car was on the road. When I purchased the car I bought it from a guy in California who bought it from someone in Michigan. It came to me with a 1967 dated 307 chevy engine and an incorrect Muncie transmission. I removed the 307and gave it away and sold the Muncie since it wasn't correct...I assume the original motor and transmission were blown up or damaged. The car had an original Harrison labeled big block style radiator in it but it was in really bad shape so I discarded it. The interior is mostly complete but would need a full restoration. The glove box and door are in the car, I removed them to inspect the bird cage. The cage appears to be in good condition, at least what can be seen. I have the original spinner type stainlesswheel covers and they will come with the car.
Additionally, I have a clear Kentucky title for the car.
