1969 ChevelleFirst off I honestly NEVER thought this day would come. however I am listing my 1969 Chevelle that I have owned for close to 20 years. I bought this car from a man that bought it from The American lung society as it was donated from a gentleman that passed away from lung cancer. I have not driven this car 100 miles in the time I have owned it. if you drive the car you will understand why. Point blank this car will scream. I have thought about listing the car a dozen times and just could not do it. I just simply don't have room to keep the car along with never take it out being afraid of getting caught again you will know why once you hear the car. very load very mean. I am 52 years old and like to think I am grown up well until I hear this thing start up. to the point look over the pictures the close ups show the life the car has had. First the car has a 1966 427 corvette block according to the cast numbers we looked up. I did not remove the valve covers to check the numbers. The heads are roller rockers. This motor was said to have over 10K dollars spent on it close to 20 years ago by the sound I do not doubt that what so ever. The transmission is a turbo 400 I believe that has again definitely been built. I would guess the posi gears are somewhere around a 456 no idea for sure just judging by driving the car. The paint is older but still shines like new. again at least 20 year old paint I am guessing a lot longer than that it was by no means a fresh paint job when I got it. There are blemishes a few small scratches small dents ect. The car is not a new car. The interior is very nice as you can see not perfect but close. trunk is very nice NO RUST issues I am aware of it has been a very long time since I actually crawled around under the car but I have been on top below inside ect. never seen any major rust issues anywhere. I am listing this car with no reserve I Hate to see the car torn down but This engine really deserves to be back in a 1966 corvette to make it right with the correct stamped engine. If for some weird reason the car does not sell I may list the engine alone and just install another big block in the Chevelle. Now I know there will be questions about this car being a true SS big block car well as far as I know I is almost impossible to know without a build sheet on the car and I do not have one. I am not going to miss represent this car so maybe it is and maybe it isn't I really didn't care when I bought it I just wanted a go fast chevelle and I have loved owning it over the years. Thank You and good luck.
