This one is truly a Southwestern Garage Find.
It was originally ordered in California, (National City) from the Pontiac GMC dealer there, was used in California at a local recycle yard, can still some of the lettering and ID numbers on fenders, found it's way to a trailer and campsite park in the mountains of Arizona where it was used for years to move trailers in and out of there storage and into the campsites. It also put boats into the water at the local boat ramp, next to the camp grounds. Still has registered to truck number and decal from AZ.It came with power disc brakes, power steering, tinted glass ac LS9 350 v8, Automatic trans, rear overload springs, cruise control, and other options. When we found it, it was behind a garage in Pahrump NV another dry climate area. There is a couple of small rust spots on the floor in the front corners (see pics)The extra tanks were missing, and so where the fuel tank doors, which we bought new ones, so it only has the main tank behind the seat.In order to get it back up and running some we did the following. These items are new, water pump, fan belt, power steering pump, one wire altenator, and had a new bearing put in the steering column along with a new turn signal and hazard piece and wiring clip.
Converted the points distributor to an HEI added wires (used) rebuilt the edelbrock 1406 carbRepaired head light wires under the hood and changed ignition wires for the HEI
Inside items that were replaced, and are new, metal door panels, window cranks and handles, exterior handles and locks, felt window channel on the drivers and passenger doors glass, and some other small items
There is no tail gate, and the bed is the wood style inside.Tail lights and trim were pretty messed up, so I have new lenses, bulbs, trim and clips for the back of the truck, all in boxes to be installed. So take a good look at the pictures and ask questions, truck has lots of patina and history.Motor runs quite, and someone over the years put on a edlebrock manifold and carb, with chrome valve covers.
It's not a perfect vehicle and it will need work, but to find a basically a fully optioned old truck is pretty rare.Put a couple of pictures of the build sheet under the seat, which turned to powder after photographing them.
No front bumperMissing some of the AC components see picture of engine compartment
Still looks like the original engine according to the numbers
all ebay terms and conditions applyAll sales are finalItem sold as is, where is.No returns
I would trailer this truck home because it has sat so long, and tires are showing there age.
Be sure to checkout my other auctions
Can help load on a transport for shipping, shipping at buyers expense
Remember this is a used and aged pickup rolling project and will need work to make everything right, and may have had work done to it along it's journey. So bid accordingly
