1967 Corvette 427 Coupe 4 Speed J56 Side Exhaust AC PS PDB Tinted Glass Project

This is a solid, zero cancer 1967 Corvette 427, 4 Speed Coupe, that was built on March 20th 1967 and sold new at Mason Chevrolet in Chico, Ca. It came from the factory with J56 brakes (only 267 made). Other factory options include a 4 Speed transmission, Air conditioning, Side exhaust, Power steering, Power brakes ( inc. w/J56), Tinted glass and AM/FM radio. The V.I.N. and trim tag are intact.

I have known of this car for the last 30 years and it is believed to be a 427/400 Tri-power car. It has it's original "LC" Sticker on the gauge cluster (390 & 400hp), 15/16" Front HD sway bar, 9/16" Rear HD sway bar, 9 leaf rear spring, 5867 power brake booster & J56 proportioning valve.

The J56 brake parts that are on this car, have never removed since installed at the factory. It is missing the LH brake stiffener and front calipers.

This was a Mako Shark custom for many years. We stripped the body to bare fiberglass, and we installed an original 1967 black fiberglass A/C front clip and original GM 427 hood, and have begun sorting the body for paint. All of the body work has been done correctly using the proper bonding material. The body & birdcage is excellent and the exterior is bare and shows the condition of the fiberglass. The windshield and rear window channels were stripped, primed and have had new clips installed before the glass was put in. There is a small amount of filler on the car. It just needs to have the gaps set and a little more filler work and it is ready for paint.
