1976 Chevrolet K5 Blazer Cheyenne
This vehicle runs and drives beautifully both at highway speed and around town. Steering is tight and trouble free and drives very straight. Extensive mechanical and cosmetic restoration, read further for detailed information.
White/Brown exterior with Saddle Tan interior. Low back bucket seats, console.
Factory 400 Small Block, 350 Turbo Automatic Transmission, NP203 All Wheel Drive Transfer Case converted to 4WD with lockout hubs.
A/C, Tilt, Cruise, Full Gauges, Power Steering, Power Brakes.
Interior: New factory style cut-pile carpet throughout, new front seat upholstery, new gauge lens, restored center console, new rear side panels with flush mount speakers. New reproduction door sill panels.
Gauges all work. Stereo is modern Kenwood with Bluetooth and hands-free. Custom kick panels with 6-1/2" Kenwood speakers. (Factory radio was mono AM/FM with single speaker on dashboard).
Dash lights all work. Dome lights work, and brand new door switches have been installed. Exterior: Paint is glossy and probably done in the late 80's or early 90's based on methods and type. Very nice driver quality condition. Has some chips here and there, and a few surface rust spots born from rock chips more than likely. Nothing larger than a quarter. Very minor. Floors and rockers are excellent. interior floors were cleaned and rust-preventive coated when new carpet went down. This is what most sellers would call "rust free", but NOTHING this age is completely rust free and I am honest enough to acknowledge that. I would also say that you would be hard pressed to find a nicer K5 of this vintage for the money. New OEM style wheel arch moldings, new exterior rear window crank handle as well as window run channels and upper window seal and belt molding. new side mirrors. New door weathersrip as well as hardtop weatherstrip. Mechanical:
This truck starts, runs, stops, steers, turns just like it should. Drives beautifully in town or 70mph down the interstate. Tracks the road well.
All new or repaired within 200 miles;
-Brakes, to include calipers, pads, rotors, shoes, wheel cylinders, and drums. -New rear parking brake cables (park brake works just like it should)-New rear wheel seals and differential serviced.-All 4 shocks are new NAPA Response OE Replacement-New rear driveshaft from Fast Shafts in Des Moines.-New Turbo 350 Transmission from Knutson Transmission in Des Moines, IA. (Original had cracked bellhousing requiring replacement due to driveshaft failure with previous owner)-New valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor.-Rebuilt and tuned carburetor (original quadrajet 4 barrel)-All new A/C lines, new AC Compressor, filter/dryer, and orifice tube. -New Nexen 31x10.50R15LT All Terrain tires. -re-packed front hubs and wheel bearings.-New Radiator-New upper radiator hose-New Thermostat-New battery and tray. -New Alternator and upgraded engine and chassis grounding. -New complete manifold back dual exhaust from LMC truck. 2-1/2" mandrel bent with Super-Turbo mufflers. -Rear window tracks, crank handle, belt molding, and upper/lower channel felt have all been replaced. Window cranks up and down like new.
