Car description |
---|
I have for sale a very solid 1967 Chevy C10 Longbed stepside. The Longbed is the lower production vehicle of the '67 C10 (2wd) trucks. 19,969 longbed stepsides were build compared to 165,973 longbed fleetsides, 43,940 shortbed fleetsides, and 45,606 shortbed stepsides. I bought it as a project but other projects have taken higher priority, so I am listing this. I have about 100 photos I can share from the cloud if interested in purchasing the truck. It rolls freely and can be easily loaded on a trailer.
Mechanical:
Mechanical:
- Truck is originally an I6 manual transmission, but has been converted to a 283 v8 and 3 speed auto
- Previous owner said the truck ran when parked about 2 years ago but was starting to smoke; the reason they parked it
- I have not been able to turn over the engine, assume a rebuild is necessary
- Axles have been converted to 5 bolt lugs with power disc brakes on the front
- Brakes will need to be gone through
- Engine stamping on the top pass side: F033IJ; Engine casting: 3849852; Transmission: 8640300
- Truck is very solid for the year
- Has been repainted once that I can tell, looks to have originally been a light blue
- There's a dent in the roof and some small dents around the truck
- I have gone over the truck with a magnet and found the lower part of the passenger fender in front of the wheel, and the driver outer rocker panel as the only 2 places with heavy filler. If there is filler elsewhere the magnet still stuck
- There are some small holes in the inner rockers on both sides where the door seal goes
- Hole in the passenger front corner of the hood, on the top of the cowl on the passenger side, small hole in the rear bottom of the fenders
- Wood floor needs to be replaced
- The undercarriage is very solid. I did not see anything other than light surface rust. The cab mounts are solid.
- The drip rail is is great shape
- The cab corners appear to be in good shape
- It's an old truck, so I'm sure there are some pin holes elsewhere too.
- The floor is solid
- The seat should be usable
- There is some rust at the top of the windshield on the inside
- The side and rear glass is in good condition, the windshield is broken
