This auction is for a 1968 Camaro Convertible resto-mod project combining the Camaro with a 2005 Corvette. The complete drivetrain from the Corvette. including the suspension. steering. braking. etc. have been incorporated. The parts to incorporate the Corvette steering. controls. dash. instrumentation. HVAC. etc are included and many have already been incorporated. I hate to let it go. but I am moving and will not have the ability to continue the project. The drivetrain has been stretched a couple of inches to match up to the Camaro. This was done by way of a bell housing spacer and a custom torque converter from Performance Torque Converters of Texas. The Corvette steering assembly. master cylinder and pedals have been incorporated. The dash is in process with the original dash panel removed and the Corvette one mocked up. The HVAC unit is installed in the dash. Power seats from a BMW convertible. with integrated seat belts. have been positioned. The dual fuel pumps have been mocked into a custom fuel tank to allow use of the full wiring harness without modifications. The engine wiring harness is in place. the wiring harness for the chassis and cabin are included. All of the significant electronics to plug everything back together is believed to be included – such as: engine computer. fuse blocks. security system with key fobs. yaw sensor. instrument panel and cluster. The drivetrain is the automatic and the shifter and emergency brake lever are included. The radiator. fan and HVAC condenser are included. Many HVAC lines. brake lines etc are included but not pictured. The ABS system is included. A new convertible top is included but not pictured. There is no glass included. The Corvette center console is included. as are the HVAC control and the stereo head unit. More photos and description of the work done to date available on request.
