Dirt Road offers this spectacular survivor 1978 Chevrolet Blazer Custom Deluxe!
This 1978 Chevrolet Blazer was manufactured in Fremont California and sent Fisher Chevrolet in Boulder Colorado. Fisher Chevrolet Sold this lovely blazer to Mr Eichstaedt of Boulder Colorado on July 6th 1978. As you can see in the pictures Mr Eichstaedt obviously cared for it very well until he reluctantly sold it to us, as we all know sometimes - it's just time to sell.
This Rare 1-owner 1978 4WD Blazer comes with Original Purchase Worksheet, Window Sticker, Original Pre-Purchase inspection sheet, the original owners title and original owners manual. Completely Original Sante Fe Tan over all original Buckskin Interior.
The Original Sante Fe Tan paint shows incredible with some patina here and there. walking around this blazer all of the chrome bumpers and exterior trim is in excellent condition. Front Grille and headlight bezels also show very well. the Chevrolet and K5 emblems are also in good shape. Not to mention all the original "soft ray" glass is intact. Door handles function properly and yes the rear window works as it should. You'll also notice the rear glass isn't all scratched up like most of these. Looking at the exterior tells you how Mr. Eichstaedt took care of this blazer. The top is in excellent shape and appears to maybe only been of once or twice. Older Goodyear rubber with Rally Wheels.
The Buckskin interior is in spectacular condition for its age and mileage and maintained well over the last 40 years. As you know most of the seats are completely shot or removed entirely. The dash is good shape and not completely cracked or warped. there is a a crack along the speaker. The carpet also shows exceptionally. Look at those rare original GM floormats - you dont see those anymore and if you do they are worth hundreds of dollars alone. Original rear seat also looks great. 1978 is the first year of the rear seat footwell. Original door panels, gauge cluster, seat belts, Original Radio with uncut dash - Yes it still works. As do all the gauges and clock - yes I said the clock still works. As we all know, usually the clock is the first to stop working. In the cargo area you'll notice the original spare tire rack, spare tire and cover are all intact. These usually disappeared early on in these blazers life.
Inside the engine bay you'll notice the one year only blue 350 engine block. The engine bay shows well and original. The original Bottle Jack is still intact along with the tool and lack instructions sticker. All the original manufacturer stickers are still intact. Most importantly the original build sticker is still intact. The 350 engine feels good and fires right up. fresh general tune up. She drives down the road good and stop like a blazer. All the lights(interior and exterior) all function as they should. Transmission feels good and engages as it should.
On the undercarriage, it shows spectacular as you can see in the original paperwork Mr Eichstaedt had undercoating applied on day one which helped preserve this Blazer. We power washed it and sprayed the frame, wheel wells and differential to give her a clean look. We did not spray or touch any of the body to show this is a dry clean truck. Floors and rockers are as clean and honest as they get. As you know, You just dont see square body blazers rust free like this.
