You are looking at a 1988 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS. The car is in overall nice condition and runs great. Drives and stops straight. no funny noises. odors. engine doesn't smoke or burn oil. The car was repainted probably at least ten years ago. judging by the amount of scratches and condition of the stripe kit. It really needs a new stripe kit. Most of the scratches are touched up. there was some paint chipped with the worst area around the driver side outer door handle (see picture). The good thing is that you can see that there is no rust on this car. it is solid! Beware of recently painted cars or cars in primer. chances are you getting a rust bucket! With that said. the car looks as nice as it does in the pictures. The interior is in good condition. no ripped seats; it has a full new dash cap installed and brand new carpet. Has an Alpine CD radio with XM module and antenna. The tires are 235/60-15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As and have about 50% tread lif remaining and wear even; the spare is matching and brand new. The A/C works (all new parts) and was converted to R134. All lights and gauges work as they should. Heat works. radio works. The engine is the stock 305 HO which was upgraded with an Edelbrock 1406 carburetor and true dual exhaust with Flowmaster muffles. I think they are 3-chanber mufflers because the system isn't obnoxiously loud and doesn't have any drone. The engine runs great and has a surprising amount of power. the transmission shifts perfectly and the torque convertor lock up clutch works. All the glass is good. everything works except the power locks. No cruise control. no T-tops on this one. I have a big stack of receipts for all the new parts listed below. The receipts will go with the car so you have proof and don't have to take my word for it. New parts within the last two years:Flex plate. starter. alternator. some front suspension bushings. rear stabilizer. front and rear brakes. all filters and fluids (including transmission). valve stem seals. water pump. belts. radiator. all coolant hoses. thermostat. A/C compressor and dryer (converted to R134). battery. interior carpet. complete dash cap (no cracks anymore). door weather stripping. shift cable. power window switch. shift cable. power steering pump and pressure lines. distributor cap. plugs and plug wires. wheel center caps. battery tray. windshield and rear window resealed by glass shop. torque convertor clutch kit. intake and valve cover gaskets. both rear axle seals. All the above receipts total around $6700. 00!All in all you looking at a great running and driving car which is nice looking and reliable. You don't have to worry about any hidden rust issues on this car! If you want any additional picture let me know the exact areas and I will send them to you. Check my feedback. it is 100% and I intend keeping it that way. Please be realistic in your expectations. this is a 27 year old car. You can inspect the car or have it inspected at you expense prior to the auction closing if you choose to do so. Shipping. if needed is at the buyers expense. I have a clear and clean title for the car. On Feb-14-15 at 17:04:26 PST. seller added the following information: Forgot to mention that the carburetor and exhaust system was also done within the last two years (receipts). The car has KYB gas shocks and corners very well.
