1985 Monte Carlo in 99% original condition. This car is very nice. reliable and has not been molested. Tires have less than 2000 miles on them. in the last 12 months it has has a new headliner installed. belts. hoses. water pump. fan clutch. thermostat. plugs. plug wires. cap. rotor and brake line front to rear axle. This was all done as preventative caution due to the age of the car. Factory 305 which was the last year you could get this in a non SS monte. Shifts firm and smooth as it should. Car was repainted approx 12 years ago to factory color. still has original build tags in door jams and under the deck lid. Trunk carpet is nice. interior is nice. Shows minimal wear on drivers seat. no cracks in dash. still nice and shiny. Paint job has some minor nicks and spidering around the front bumper. Still has a nice shine to it though. Car needs a muffler. Runs fine but has a hole in it. I have not replaced it because whoever buys this car may want to add duals. Also has a 10 inch by 10 inch hole right where your feet sit on the drivers side in the floor I say 10X10 because that's what will need cut out to properly repair was typical for these cars due to wet shoes and the water laying there. It is not just a massive hole right now. it's perfectly driveable it's just really flaky and soft underneath. I have shop that is going to repair it for me once the weather breaks. If you want the car AS IS. I will factory that into the final price. I have a local shop that is very reputable quote me $250. 00 to repair it with an OEM quality repair panel. The spot is underneath the car. it will never be noticed or hinder the value of the car. I drive this car daily in the summer. it is very reliable. I trust driving it distances. I would not be afraid to get in it and drive it cross country tomorrow. I have taken pictures of the 2 worse spots on the body. there is a 2 inch scrape on the edge of the front bumper and about a 3 inch wide spot on the rear bumper that paint is peeling. Again it's 30 years old but I'm trying to be as fair and honest as I can about the car. Bottom line is this is a nice SOLID body car if you want a nice straight car to start out with for a street rod or it's a nice original car that you can be proud to take to a local show and rest assured you will get plenty of compliments on just how original it is!!! I do not have the stock hub caps. I always preferred the Nascar look with the raised white letter tires. The vinyl top is in fantastic shape as well. I hope I didn't scare anyone away by mentioning the flaws but I've been doing this ebay thing a long time and don't want to mislead anyone. This is a nice street driving reliable car. That's the bottom line! Doors all close nice and easy. hinges are all great. when car was repainted all of the stainless trim strips were replace with all OEM General Motors parts that are no longer available. For the price. I don't think anyone would be disappointed with this car. It's truly a survivor with no mud!
