Today, this car still retains each of those factory original options and more. The build sheet shows that this car was a special ZL3 code car. Our research shows that a ZL3 code car was a car that was converted to a 396 somewhere along the assembly line. It may have been designated as a basic Camaro then changed in the factory to what you see here. Other codes such as Z22 (Rally Sport) & Z27 (Super Sport) are also on the build sheet. This designation has brought debate and interest to collectors and enthusiasts throughout the Chevy world. If you have any further information on these codes, let us know.
