NO MOTOR, TRANS OR TRANSFER CASEPREFECT FOR LS SWAP!
This Blazer is actually a 1971 GMC Jimmy (it currently have the wrong grille) that is very solid that would make a great LS Swap. The driveline (engine, transmission and transfer case) were removed to do an LS swap, but the previous owner never got around to it. Excellent candidate for restoration, or for affordable project/driver. Either put a 350/350 back in it (everything is there to plug it back in, including a set of long tube headers and newer 3" exhaust.), or do an LS swap.
Highlights:
- Very solid Blazer
- AC Optioned Truck
- 3/4 Ton axles
- Dana 44
- Lift
Exterior:
For the most part this Blazer appears to be pretty solid. It was converted from a GMC Jimmy to a Chevrolet grill. It has had an older respray that shows well in pics, but would require new paint if you were going to restore. However, you could run it as is if you are looking for an affordable driver. It It has a lift, some period correct aluminum wheels (with one oddball steel wheel) on what I believe are 35" tires.
Interior:
The interior is all there and is in good shape. The front seats were "updated" to buckets at some point and the original rear bench seat is in very good shape. The cluster is there and is in good shape. It was an AC truck, so it has the AC pods and center vent (missing center vent insert).
Mechanical:
The truck is complete minus engine, transmission and transfer case. It appears to have everything there to plug a 350/350 driveline back in, including a set of long tube headers and 3" exhaust. The wiring harness appears to be in good shape. It has a body and suspension lift (not sure the actual sizes) and is running what appears to be 3/4 ton axles and a dana 44 in the front and a GM 14 Bolt in the rear. All of the brakes, suspension and other mechanical components appears to be in very good shape. The shocks appear to be fairly new, as does the lift.
