Car description |
---|
Up for bids is this all-stock 1970 Chevelle. A Portland car from new, this Chevelle has had just 2 owners, with the 2nd owner since 1986. Bone stock with the exception of an upgrade from the 307ci to a 350ci, the car is a real time warp. Look for more information written alongside the photos below, there's over 50 photos to show every aspect of this car. Feel free to email any questions you may have. The reserve is LOW (please don't ask) and I can help arrange shipping worldwide. Thanks for looking!
The car wears an older repaint in its original color of Gobi Beige. Looks sharp, a few small flaws, overall nice.
Good glass throughout.
There's some clearcoat peeling on the top of the driver's side B-pillar, just to the left of the back glass, up top. Hard to see in these photos, there's a better look at it in one of the pictures further below.
Here you can see the clearcoat issue a little better.
The car has 2 areas with rust, one here, and one on the back right corner, shown in another photo. Overall the car is solid, and the undercarriage is in excellent condition with zero rust.
Side glass pieces are in good shape with good fit. Both doors click shut with the push of a finger.
An older repair showing its age in this area.
The tires are classic bias ply whitwalls, I'll include a set of lightly used Toyo radials with a similar whitewall width if you'd like them.
Heres' that 2nd spot of rust. Overall the car's very solid in spite of these 2 blems.
Trunk mat is original.
Nice interior, all stock.
All instruments work except for the clock. Every switch, every light, every knob - all working.
The 307 was replaced with a fresh 350 in the 90s. This car starts at the flick of the key and just runs fantastic. Super-smooth quiet idle, great throttle response, no smoke, nice tight suspension - you'll love the way this car drives.
Excellent, rust-free undercarriage.
The car comes with a HUGE stack of service receipts going back to '86, along with a every registration renewal. This car was really well cared for over the years, anything that was needed was done.
About the reserve price:
Out of fairness to all bidders the reserve is held in confidence, please just bid at the level that you'd want to pay. This auction ends Monday, June 11th at 10AM Pacific Time
