Description
I purchasedthis project truck last October believingthat I could somehow "make" the time to complete another restoration. Clearly this is not the case, I simply have no available time...none. I have not even looked the truck over other than to take the pictures for this auction. I will cut and paste the previous owners description as he knows the truck better than I. I had it shipped to NY from Richmond, Va, it is originally from Minnesota. In addition to the previous owners description I noted that the original 4-speed transmission is also in the bed of the truck and will need a rebuild as well. This is a 1959 Chevrolet factory Napco shortbed pickup. It was originally a U.S. Dept. of the Interior truck. The original Dept. of the Interior tag is still mounted on the glovebox as well as the tag that has the 5,600 lb weight to show it is a Napco. This is a project truck. The body overall is in pretty good shape. The door posts are decent, floorpans are pretty good with a little rust in a couple of areas. 6 cylinder engine is in the bed and probably no good. Original front Napco axle and transfer case are there. The front fenders and doors are loosely mounted and came from another parts truck. I do not have a title for the VIN that's on the truck but you can apply for a title thru a title agency or thru your own state DMV. I do have the VIN plate and title for the parts truck used to supply the doors and fenders that will go with this truck. What you see is what you get.03-03-18 Update.....at the request of a potentila bidder I examined the frame and found this bracket (brace) locaed on the passsenger side at the rear leaf spring hanger (shown in pictures). I do not know why it is there but appears older. We got hammered with 16 inches of snowfall so getting to the truck is a chore. I dropped the price to $3500 because of this but will go no lower...taking a large loss at that.
