-1 of 16 Produced by Hercules Campbell of Terry Town, NY-AACA Show Winner-Frame off restoration-3rd row seating-3 speed transmission-Correct Woodie with fresh frame off restoration-Less than 800 miles since completed-Correct 6 cyl engine-All wood is original to build-Outside wood completely refinished this year-All correct wiring harness-Push button start-All chrome and stainless redone to show standards-New period correct wide white tires and wheel covers-Wood is ash with 1/4" Philippine Mahogany-Seats are covered with padded brown leather
This Suburban was built by Hercules Campbell of Tarry Town, NY. During the1930's - 1950's Hercules Campbell build wooden station wagon bodies formany manufacturers. This wagon was known as the Highlander Camp Wagon.Wagons were considered a commercial vehicles featuring seating for 7-8 passengers. By 1957 the market and desire dried up on wooden coachesand Hercules Campbell had to close its doors.
