This is a project car I have not been able to work on for three years. it has been in storage. I shortened a Chevy S10 extended cab frame to the correct wheelbase for the Suburban Truck based Woodie. It has a 2. 8 Chevy V6 and automatic trans. front disc brakes. I bought a complete mounting adaptor kit from Advanced Design S10 Engineering in Sonoma. and have a original rust-free front clip. cowl. running boards. and rear fenders from a 1951 Chevy truck. now in black primer. (this is the same as a 1947. 1948. 1949. 1950. 1952. or 1953. ) Mustang radiator. Custom new front steel wheels with offset that take stock hubcaps. Included is enough 2x8 Ash hardwood lumber for the doors and frames. but no woodwork has been done yet. I have 4 sheets of mahogany plywood. I have hinges and misc. hardware. Decided to sell because we bought a house and wife says I must focus money on that project!I am a cabinetmaker. I have collected lots of info about this type of woodie. and know of 4 complete similar Chevy woodies nearby - one in Oxnard. one in Atascadero. one in Santa Rita. and one in Orcutt. Have lots of photos. books. info. I actually have a stall at my cabinet shop. you could hire me to help you make parts. . . but be aware. woodies take lots of time and patience! You would need to spend at least $10k on the woodwork. The driveshaft needs to be shortened. and with that done and some wiring. a new distributor and brake work. the car could be yard driven while the wood body was being built. CA Black plates. 1951 pink slip and matching original vin tags. will be registered as a 1951. I would be happy to tell you more. answer questions. The last three photos in this listing are other cars that this would be similar to. when completed. This is going to be a beautiful. fun. classic ride! Please call 8o5 55o 2151 or email. Bruce
