1976 Chevrolet Suburban 400 - 4WD
Family owned and purchased in 1984 in ND with less than 80,000 miles on it.
Used for commuting back then 120 miles a day.
Then mainly to the lake weekends (240 mile trip).
Was painted from original 2-tone green and white to green, and windows professionally tinted in 1986 in AZ, wintered there.
Mainly sat inside thereafter, used occasionally.
These are the more recent additions: (have documentation going back to 1984)2010-radiator hose replaced
2011- new tires, (3,000 on them now)
-side exhaust pipe, 2 mufflers
2013- new battery
2014-new brake lines
master cylinder
2016- rebuilt tranny with converter and transfer case gasket and 2 u joints
tranny flush
-new headlights
-new belts
-water pump -wipers
Drives straight down the road, starts right up every time, even -20; heater HOT.
Being 41 years old, I would repair these things among others:
-rubber around driver's door and rear drivers side door-A/C charged up (used to work fine)-grill replaced-paint job (bottom painted black to mask rust, but coming through)-wheels sprayed, but would replace-headliner falling replace or repair
Upholstery good, except front seat bottom (drivers side) (seat cover)
Back power window opens and closes. Other windows manual. All interior and exterior lights work. Glass is all good, no cracks. Hood and roof no dents. Major problem is rust on an older Midwest truck.
Have lots more pics, questions welcome, email for more information, or to be viewed before auction ends.
