Great stance, healthy engine, pickup utility, and a very reasonable price, this 1968 Chevrolet C10 seems to have everything going for it. Nothing radical, just a nicely finished old truck with a few custom touches for the guys who like that sort of thing.Bright red paint always looks right on a pickup, and if you have a vintage hauler, adding a white top and white trim is a tasteful nod to the past. This short bed C10 has a great attitude, a sporty look that suits it just fine, especially with the lowered stance and oversized rolling stock. Fit and finish are quite good and while it's not a concourse show truck, it does look like it's led a good life and someone spent plenty of effort whipping it into shape. You can't argue with the good looks of the factory design, so they left all the little stuff alone, and merely focused on getting it straight and giving it a great shine once the paint was dry. There's a fully functional bed out back which hasn't been beat up and now has a fresh spray-in bedliner, so it's still ready, willing, and able to work. The only other modification are the white painted bumpers, which are a traditional touch that works quite well here. You'll be pleasantly surprised by the interior, which uses fresh black leather seat covers with red stitching to make it feel sleek and sophisticated inside. The rest of the interior was painted red, save for the fresh dash pad (also with red stitching) and black carpets that make it feel a bit more civilized inside. The handsome factory instruments are framed by a billet steering wheel with a thick black rim and even the original AM radio is still in the dash. Sticking to the basics works rather well in this no-nonsense pickup truck, because it's the quality execution that seems to get everyone's attention. Tinted glass all around helps with the sporting image as well as working to keep the interior nice and cool during the summer driving season. Best of all, that long Lokar shifter manages a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive, making this a very comfortable highway cruiser. When you open the hood, you can see where a lot of the money went in this build. It's a built 350 cubic inch V8 that's been shined up and dressed to impress, but it has the hardware to be a serious threat on the street, too. An upgraded cam, an Edelbrock aluminum intake and matching 4-barrel carburetor all combine to give this thing some fairly serious horsepower. Basic black paint adds some contrast to the otherwise all-red engine bay and there's a lot of new equipment, including the serpentine belt system and all the accessories, giant aluminum radiator, and electric cooling fan. Long-tube headers and rumbling Flowmasters give it a fantastic voice and the factory 12-bolt rear end doesn't mind the horsepower one bit. The suspension has been lowered just enough to give it the right rake, but the hardware is still there to allow it to actually work as a pickup truck. 20-inch American Racing wheels are fitted with 255/50/20 performance radials to enhance the stance.Like I said, good looks, a gnarly powerplant, and a few tasteful upgrades make for one heck of an attractive truck, especially at this price.
