The 1947 Chevrolet 3100 is the first year for the now iconic Advanced Design pickup, but that kind of history is not what really caught your eye. Sure, this is the steel that launched a legend, but you know you want it because of the cool paint, custom interior, and show-worthy small-block V8. These don't last in our showroom. We already told you why the year makes this such a significant pickup. It's a story you'll love telling your friends right after they complement you on the amazing paint. What would you call this shade of green? Electric? Envious? All we now is it looks fantastic in the sunlight thanks to the shimmer of the modern clearcoat. The darker green makes for some great touches on the tailgate and the classic So-Cal ad on each door. But there's even more to love as you get up close and see the pinstriping around the headlights. Also, for those of you who know this generation of pickup, the green is the perfect inside joke to go along with the "alligator" style hood. And speaking of the body, this one is smooth, clean, and straight like nothing you'd ever expect from a nearly 70-year-old workhorse. Up front is a big, bold chrome classic grille. In the back, the real wood truck bed has been updated with new lumber and a modern varnish. This Chevy has also been upgraded with new side mirrors, large chrome exhaust tips, and a set of 15-inch wheels with shiny mini Moon hubcaps that help show off the staggered, aggressive stance. Inside there's still hints of old school charm left in this completely custom interior. The great green from the exterior is utilized inside, and there's even more pinstriping on the dash. This bold color is now joined by a pristine white on the custom bucket seats, door panels, and center console with very handy cup holders. From behind the Grant GT steering wheel you get a great view of all the upgrades. There's a Sony AM/FM/CD stereo to keep your passengers entertained. You're going love looking at the cool full set of AutoMeter gauges that fit in the pickup's original dual pod layout, and your right hand will probably never leave the B&M sports shifter. This Chevy has been all about being show-ready thus far, so you'll be quite happy when you pop the hood. You might want to warn others to grab their sunglasses before looking at your engine bay. That's because the 350 cubic-inch small-block has had lots invested to give its mirror shine from components like the big air cleaner, valve coves, alternator, master cylinder, and even the firewall. Plus, all the belts, wires, and hoses are either hidden or extra tidy. But beyond the glamour there is real substance. The motor has a performance intake and an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor. It's running a newer radiator with an electric fan so you can keep running cool, even in traffic. But the best part you'll love is the throaty sound out of the dual exhaust. It makes the perfect rumble as you ride around on a Saturday night, and with power steering, a 700r4 automatic transmission with overdrive, and front disc brakes, you can effortlessly cruise anytime you want. This is the unique and thorough build that will allow others to see and hear you coming from a long way off. And once you get there, it has all the right details to continue drawing a crowd. Who says it's not easy being green? These dont last, and with a quality build like this...call today!!
