Nice Restoration to a Southern Car
Marina Blue w/Black Interior & White Top
PS, PB, Tilt Wheel & Power Top
Being offered is a beautiful 1966 Impala SS396 convertible. This vehicle has been restored with many of the receipts. It is equipped with NOM (rebuilt) 396 engine, original Harrison radiator and original manifolds. The paint is nice, top is new and the car appears to have most of its original sheet metal. Power steering, power brakes, tilt steering wheel and 3 speed TH400 automatic transmission make it ideal for cruising. It’s a pretty car and a pleasure to drive, especially with the top down. There are a lot of Chevelle's and Camaro's out there, but this Impala will set you apart at the local car shows.
This Impala is finished with Marina Blue paint, base coat/clear coat (original color, code Y). This Georgia/Florida vehicle has its original quarter panels, and floors. The trunk floor has been replaced. The doors bottoms are clean and show all the original factory seams. The working power convertible top is new with glass back window.
Driveline consists of the rebuilt NOM (receipt) 396 with a TH400 automatic transmission and 12 bolt rear end. The engine bay is clean and in factory correct appearance, including original Harrison radiator, original intake and exhaust manifolds, 4 barrel carburetor with electric choke, belts, hoses, etc.
The black interior is factory correct and overall in very nice condition. There are no rips or tears in the vinyl or dash pad nor any cracks in the steering wheel. It has newer carpet. Vehicle is optioned with bucket seats (trim code 813), tilt wheel and its original floor console in good condition.
This Impala is equipped with a Flow Master exhaust system and sounds great. Underneath, the frame and undercarriage on this car is clean and tidy. Suspension has been rebuilt (receipts) and floors are nice. This car currently wears modern 18” rally wheels with new tires as shown in pics but also retains its factory 14” steel rims with SS hub cabs and white wall tires. The hub caps are driver quality and this set of tires has some wear. The buyer can have their pick of either set of wheels. Also included are the cars original set of fender skirts. Inside the trunk is the spare tire along with the bumper jack, base and handle. The trunk presents as factory stock appearance.
This vehicle is a pleasure to drive. It is fast and sounds great….a refined and gorgeous weekend cruiser. You are welcome and encouraged to conduct a pre-purchase inspection of the vehicle. If you are looking for a desirable classic car, this car deserves a look. This vehicle is being sold in AS IS condition with no warranties expressed or implied. All purchases are subject to 7% Indiana sales tax; call your local DMV for details. If you have any questions on it or wish to make an offer, please give me a call at 765-994-9972.
