Selling from an Elderly friend's Estate, her husband's 1968 Chevy Street Rod Pick-up project, Bob spent a lot of time and money over the years on this beauty but never quite got it finished, like so many others he was involved with. He owned and operated an Automotive Upholstery business in the Metro Detroit area for 50 years and specialized in Street Rods and Customs, he was heavily involved with many local car clubs and had 100s of cars he did work on appear in car shows and win awards. After his death 4 years ago I was asked to assist his wife in selling off the 11 cars and trucks that he owned and other items. Bob would not only work on his vehicles himself but he would barter and trade to Body shops and friends for work he needed done to his cars. This particular Truck is one that he owned since new and was well taken care of, seldom exposed to the weather and no used and abused, there is No Rust or Rotted areas anywhere on this vehicle, very solid . It was totally repainted and stripped years ago, all new tuck&roll leather interior. The motor has been rebuilt and has many high performance parts, lots of chrome and powder coating under the hood, headers and chrome side pipes. Probably the most interesting thing done to the truck was Bob decided to replace the entire rear end with a unique Corvette rear end and suspensio, looks like a very nicely done conversion. At this time because of the length of time the truck has sat in the garage it will start and run but will probably require the gas tank to be drain, possibly a new fuel pump, she sounds great. Needs a new battery, belts and the fan blade and shroud to be installed. *** It would require a little tim, labor and love from the right person to get this truck up and running and completed. I will also be including with the truck a Brand New woodgrain dash insert set and also if wanted I will include the original rear end assembly, truck must be trailered and picked up. I've done a lot of research over the last few months and can assure you it would be very tough find an original one owner truck in this type of condition anywhere, the potential for this vehicle to be a very unique show quality truck is great and only limited by the new owners dreams and effort. ATTN: I will also be listing a few other vehicles from this Estate and others soon including a real cool 1951 Ford Street Rod Coupe Project Car with a flat head dual carb V8, a beautifully restored 77 Chevy 1 Ton Dually Pick-up with a 502 Crate Motor, a low miles 81 Cadillac Eldorado, a Jeep 4x4 pick-up with a Meyer's snow plow set up and a few vehicles. >> Please Ask Questions thru the Ebay message system or call Gary @ 810-543-1775 between 9am-9pm EST, NO TEXTOn May-01-17 at 07:30:16 PDT, seller added the following information:
ATTN: I would like to add a few items to my description such as the truck be, its in very good condition but was never detailed out or anything so its basically been repainte, it looks like the owner intended to add carpeting to the wheel humps but changed his mind, not sure? anyways its in great shape. I forgot to mention that the truck has disc brakes and I also am 99% positive that the miles shown { 47,000} are the original mileage but like just about every other vehicle that I've sold for this Estate its been damn near impossible for me to get any real history of them or what may or may not have been done to these cars, I will try to find answers to any questions you may have, Thanks
