Barn find 1964 Corvette Stingray roadster RARE factory Daytona Blue with Silver leather Interior, one of approximately 45 manufactured in this desirable color combination out of 22,229 cars and the ONLY year this combination was available! Numbers matching original 300hp 327 & 4 speed transmission. The car was repainted red in the late 60's and put away in a barn by the early 70's. The barn where the car was sitting was very damp and subsequently the frame is very rusty with considerable rot along the driver's side rails. Luckily the previous owner spent over $6,000 on an excellent condition 1964 frame to replace the original with which is included in the sale of this car. The previous owner stripped the paint with plans to restore it but never got that far. The body shows some professional repairs done long ago from typical parking lot fender benders but the car was never hit. Someone started to do some poor fiberglass work on the driver's side door however a replacement door skin is also included. Several NOS parts to go with the car. Original black soft top (with frame) is present along with a replacement vinyl skin (no hard top). Dealer installed tow hitch and factory AM/FM radio. For whatever reason the original owner started taking the instrument panel apart and removed the speedometer, battery, and fuel gauges. We found the fuel and battery but the speedo is currently missing. Engine has not run in many years. Good original glass. Original jack is still in the car. Original vin and body tags showing 916AA code Daytona Blue paint with 899BE code two-tone Silver leather interior with Dark Blue dash pad & gray carpet. Clear Connecticut title issued in 1970 with proof of previous Connecticut registration. This is a very original and very rare Corvette that is worthy of a proper restoration. Car is located in East Haddam, Connecticut. Email or call Greg with questions 860-873-1092 evenings or 860-575-8998 cell.
