Will need rod bearings replaced due to slight rod knock but runs and drives just fine...

Long Description Below

Engine and Transmission:

As previously stated in the short description this car will need the rod bearings replaced due to a slight rod knock that can be heard in the video. The good thing is that it still runs and drives perfectly fine and the oil pan can be removed without removing or lifting the engine to access the crank shaft. A set of rod bearing can be purchased for less than $100 and the job should take about a full day to complete. I have gotten quotes from ASE Certified mechanics and it can be performed for less than $900 if you are not comfortable changing them out yourself. If you do not feel comfortable with a rod bearing replacement then this car is not for you. Please do your due diligence before committing and placing a bid. Besides the bearings needing to be changed the rest of the car/engine/tranny is in excellent shape. It has had everything you can possibly think of replaced or customized. The engine cranks right up no smoking and the transmission shifts properly into all gears and the suspension and brakes are rock solid. Stops on a dime with power brakes. Sounds extremely mean with the dual cherry bomb exhaust with chrome tips. The engine had a full rebuild when the truck was redone about 10 years ago (as per previous owner). It was upgraded with a Chevy 350 and electric fuel pump, power steering with a Holley 4 Barrel Carb, model alternator and serpentine belt pulley system. Runs Great except for the rod knock. Great opportunity to get a $30,000 Street Rod for a fraction of the Price as a running 99% done project!!!

Paint and Body:

The body has had multiple modifications, customization done to it. It has a beautiful 2 tone metallic silver and grey combination with flame decals running down the side. The door handles were put in from a more modern Chevy truck, the trunk gate was shaved and an electric solenoid lock system was added which can be opened from the driver side seat. The front turn signals were hidden inside the grill, the taillights are from another era vehicle (Falcon I think) and the rear end of the car was smoothed out to give it that street rod look. All mirrors and trim pieces are chrome, aluminum and custom. Although the entire car is made of steel the running boards are fiberglass. The paint still has tons of shine and is solid no peeling there are some areas of wear and a few cracks on the running boards. The doors open and close excellent. The hood and trunk springs are a bit worn. The hood goes up fine but the springs are worn and won't stay up all the way. The trunk also opens and closes fine but will not stay up due to worn springs as well. The gas tank was removed and an aluminum cell was placed in the trunk and neatly hidden by fine interior work. In order to gas up you have to open the trunk. The side view mirrors were replaced with smaller custom round mirrors and relocated to the upper part of the car and both bumpers were removed, again to give it that nice shaved street rod look and stance. Please refer to the additional 360 Pictures for every imperfection paint has.

Lights and Electrical:

The entire electrical system on this car was replaced with a more modern fuse box and wiring system. Everything works, all gauges, radio, lights, and brake lights turn signals. NO issues there! It was even upgraded with a center console on the ceiling with dome lights. Very nicely done! The car was also equipped with electric driver's side seat and electric solenoid for the trunk and fuel pump. There stereo is a Sony detachable face CD player with a 4 speaker sub woofer system which sounds awesome and works great!

Interior:

The Once again no expense was spared in the interior as well with 100% custom seats, rug, matching flame door panels, beautiful grey headliner with center console on the color and ceiling with storage compartments. The glove box was sealed and removed only for looks. The interior is in great shape except for some normal wear on the passenger side seat. All door handles and knobs, gauges have been customized and replaced. Everything works! Dashboard was painted the same metallic beautiful silver as the exterior of the car. All windows are present and go up and down just fine. All new weather-stripping keeps the car drive and quiet when driving. Very tastefully done.

Glass:

All glass is present and working. None are cracked except for one crack on the driver side split window.

Chassis, Suspension, Brakes:

The brakes are excellent due to the upgrades of a Chevy nova front end with disc brakes and the addition of power brakes and power steering. The suspension is very tight and straight when driving almost like a new car all of it was redone when the car was restored/ customized. I've hit 60 on the highway with the car, no issues. Stops on a dime...The frame was reinforced and was painted with undercoating as well as the underside of the entire vehicle very nicely done, new shocks, new brake lines, new fuel lines, new dual exhaust, very clean as can be seen in pics. Again no expense spared very nicely done. Comes with Cragar rims and low profile tires.
