Car description |
---|
1971 Chevrolet Custom C10 pickup truck. Half ton. Factory 350 V8, with 4 speed. Runs and drives perfectly. Manual steering, front disc brakes. Drove a 200 mile trip recently. Tags current. Can drive home anywhere in the country. Typical rust in usual places, not as bad as many, many I have seen in unrestored condition. Carpet removed so you can see EXACTLY the condition of all flooring in cab. Rust through rocker right side, leading slightly into the floor area (see pictures). Rust on rocker left side but not rusted through. As also shown in pictures, there are no holes in floor except for surface rust. Left side cab corner has rust pitting. Cab corner passenger side has dings but no rust through. Doors close solidly. Door hinges and hinge pockets are perfect with zero sag and zero wear. Passenger side of ORIGINAL bed has scrape and evidence of prior bodywork, drivers side of bed has zero signs of prior damage. I believe primer was put on drivers side of bed to resist the elements. Zero rust through inside of bed, though surface rust is evident. With the exception of the water temperature gauge EVERY electrical item on this truck works. Engine runs VERY high oil pressure at speed and is solid as a rock, having been fully rebuilt only 20,000 miles ago. The picture of the oil pressure gauge was taken at 60 mph freeway speed. New battery. New stock replacement radiator. Stock steering box has been fully rebuilt. This truck drives straight as an arrow with zero signs of wear in the tie rods or ball joints. Suspension alignment has been checked and is spot on the money. Every item in the engine compartment is present and complete just as the day it left the factory with. That means all stock gas lines, air cleaner, exhaust/choke equipment, fan shroud, etc. There is not a single crack or damage to any of the glass and no wiper marks on the windshield. I have a signed off Washington state title and I will also include a notarized bill of sale with the truck at close of sale and full payment received. Finally: I am not promising the moon and stars in relation to the overall condition of this truck but neither am I asking for the moon and stars when it comes to the very low reserve I have on this fully functioning classic truck which can be driven everyday, anywhere as you improve the truck to your own liking. Non-refundable deposit of $500 is required within 48 hours of close of auction. Balance must be paid within 7 days of close of auction. Can send pictures of engine compartment through eBay's messaging system. Too late to add additional pictures to listing now that bids are made. EBay's rules, not mine.
