Car description |

this chevelle you see listed here has one of the best bodies youll ever see on a 66 chevelle.most by now have been all replacement paneled and rebuilt.this car still retains ALL its original sheetmetal it was born with.including floors,quarters,rockers,trunk,ect.....maybe another reason is its a low owner,(2)with only 81,000 actual miles! somes going to say how can you tell that?for one thing looking at the pictures youll see that it has the original interior!..carpet,dash pad, visors, door panels,ect....i know its hard to believe, but it is.its near perfect ! minus the seat upholstery.i replaced it only because it had some stains from years of use....but im including it with the car.other than that its the original.just about every piece of the external trim, chrome and stainless is the originals, even the bumpers!..they luster about as nice as repo stuff..all glass is near perfect.this cars only had one repaint in its life.its very slick and nice, probably close to a 9. there are a ding or two,and your typical small blemishes, but there so minut, they cant be picked up by a digital camera.this car is straight as an arrow down the sides .it still retains its t-3 headlights.oil pan has a drip.but engine and transmission are in need of nothing as far as running, cranking,no over heating.idles like a new car, sounds like one should.transmission up shifts and down shifts perfect.no whines, knocks or funny noises. a rare find is this is an original ermine white car with bright red interior. the pictures doesnt do the beautiful color combination justice!....you just have to see it .all body panels line up consistent, trunk, doors, hood, all open and close like a new 66! the valve covers and air cleaner are original style factory type chrome versions.........did i forget to mention its also a factory radio delete car too!....this chevelle has a nice list of options, they are as follows..................................................
A02-tinted windshield N10-dual exhaust U03-tri-volume horn
C10-opticlean bottle N34-sport style wheel U14-gauges &tachometer
J50-power brakes N40-power steering U25-trunk light
L30-327 4 barrell PW8-red line tires U26-underhood light
M35-automatic transmission P12-ralley wheels
this car runs & drives like a new 66 chevelle.it should, its not worn out with that low of miles.theres nothing worn for this car to handle like it does.you can realistically drive it with 2 fingers on the wheel.cars in this condition are getting harder & harder to find.and when you throw in nice options & rare color combinations its even more difficult........it seems like people are keeping the nicer cars now & not letting them go?....when was the last time you seen one like this show up on here?
this car is what i would consider a "survivor"....this is a pretty much original car that has been kept to its roots.it has been HIGHLY and imaculately detailed throughout!.....underneath,the under carriage is just as nice as what under the hood looks like!...the pictures just dont do it justice!....i noticed in the second picture i posted, theres what seems to be a spot on the side of the car?..its not.thats a reflection.nothing wrong with the paint.period.
as far as the average price range of 66 chevelles in this condition goes, the CPI black book is one that some major classic auction use.CPI doesnt list a catagory "1" listing.they only list catagory "2" & "3" listings.(class 1 cars are generally untouched survivors, nos restored,or 1000 point class judging cars)this car definately falls under the catagory "2" classification.in the book i have,is 6 months old, they have this car at $38,000.and thats not factoring in the low miles, options or nice color combination......these figures are actually gathered from actual auction sales & private trades......the reserve on this one is far from that.really alot lower....BUT PLEASE do not ask the reserve or a price to sell it before the auction ends.its not fair for everyone that might have an interest in it.if someone wants it,theyll have an equal chance like everyone bidding.
im a dealer dba hathcock auto sales & restoration.i dont sell junk.what you see is what you get.as like all vehicles this age,if your biddin, your accepting as-is,no warranty.expressed or implied.if you have to get permission from someone else to bid or purchase, then do that first.and PLEASE only bid if you already have funds on hand.im not going to wait on a loan to be approved or an appraisle to be completed.this not only waste my time, but it takes away someone elses chance to get the car they really want.......there is no deposit....BUT, within 3 days, full payment will be required!if no, it will be offered to next highest bidder.i have to this because im not always redidly available at times.im firm on these terms.i have to be because of a few bad apples.......do your due-diligence before bidding.sometimes used & older vehicles have faults of their own, seen & un-foreseen.some un-foreseen things could exist that are or were not known to past and or present owners & buyers & sellers.all statements listed here in this listing are based on opinion.upon winning bid your acknowledging youve read & understand the info stated here.your also relieving the seller blameless of info contained or ommited.you have to list this stuff because theyre some people out there will think your responsible for knowing or should know the whole life of a car since it was new, which i dont......i have a good friend that is a dispatcher at a major tansport co......he can usually get cars moved in the average of .040 to .060 cents a mile, thats cheap.
this is a real nice car.im sure whoever ends up with it will be well pleased..... compared to whats mostly being sold out there for big money is un-comparable.im sure whoever buys this car will surely hang on to it for many years to come......ones like this is irreplaceable!.......ive had two people come by to buy some used parts from me lately.they were impressed when they saw it.....i will include their cell numbers for a non-affiliated opinion if you would like.i asked if they would mind if i gave out their cell # in case someone wanted to ask them what they thought of the car after seeing it.and it is o.k. they could give you a real feel for the car.contact me thru here and ill put you in touch with them.thanks.
