1966 Chevrolet C-20 3/4 Ton Stepside Truck (had to use C-10 in descriptions but is actually a C-20 model).
!! NO RESERVE !! Highest Bidder at end of auction wins!
We don't know alot about the history of it. Got it from an older gentlemen from Southeast Texas as a partial trade on a vehicle I was selling. Know at one time he had antique license plates on it with plans to fully restore it but never did.
Mechanically: (Keep in mind, we are non-mechanic females who are more into vintage fashion than cool vintage trucks like this, but will try to describe it the best we can. ;) Truck runs and drives, although it is a rough ride with no power steering or power brakes. Brakes may even need servicing. Sometimes we have to add gas to the carburetor to get it started. Passed a state inspection 2 months ago so sticker is good until 01/2018. Has an exhaust leak under body. It looks like at one point many years ago, it used to have an automatic transmission that was changed to a 4-speed stick shift. We had a temporary horn button added to get it inspected. The original center Chevy horn piece that goes on the steering wheel is included, along with some other things as pictured. The previous owner recently replaced the front windshield, gas tank, and it has a new battery. Outside lights and signals work. Mileage shows 32098 but sure it has turned over.
Cosmetically: It does have some rust. The floorboards are rusted all the way through in spots, and there are a few small holes, spots on body. (see pics) The rocker panels look pretty good. Underneath shows rust although it mainly appears to be surface rust. The rusted bed is a metal welded on bedliner it looks like. You can see some of the boards underneath the liner in the underside pic. There are some small dents and dings here and there on body. It has the original sunvisors that are not attached but will be included. Seats have some holes and wear spots, mainly on drivers side. Tires show wear and there is a very slow air leak on passenger front. Has a caged industrial style tailgate. Glass is in excellent condition. Bed is approx. 8 ft.
It brings smiles to anyone who sees it. You get alot of honks and waves on the road. Cool vintage truck!
