Up for auction is my 1977 Chevy P/U. She is a Custom Deluxe 20.... 4x4...3/4 ton with a 1 ton rear, stick shift on the floor (most survivors are automatics or on the column). She was originally built in Canada therefore she was NOT built with Catalytic converters and therefore when we restored her we did NOT put them on! She has a new GM crate motor with approx. 500 miles on it. We have the original motor that will come along with the truck if a buyer wants it. The shop did NOT cut the crank (after we asked him to) on the old motor which caused the crank shaft bearings to "beat out". I got mad and bought a NEW motor. It should NOT take much to get the old motor "back in and running" if the buyer wants the original motor in her. The truck had one owner (my father). When he passed away, my husband and I restored her. The truck has been TOTALLY restored. The only things that do not work are the speedometer (we were given the wrong speedometer cable from the auto store) and the gas gauge (not sure what the issue with that is- fuel sending unit is new so maybe it's the instrument cluster mechanism).
There is a 6 CD player/changer behind the seat... the "dash CD Face" looks" like the original am/fm stereo that came with the truck. I ordered it out of Classic Industries catalog and paid between $600-$800 for that alone. The truck cost me $26,200.00 to restore NOT counting labor..
The cab, all glass (except rear windshield and wing windows), the frame/chassis, the leaf springs, the tranie, the shifters, the rear Dana, the front rear, the drive shaft and some of the dash components are original. All fenders, both doors, the tail gate, the hood, the bed, the bumpers, and the front grille are new (after market from classic industries or LMC). The bench seat frame (metal) is original but the cushioning and the vinyl are new. The steering wheel is new (I am keeping the original for memories sake). There are so many new parts and original parts please feel free to ask what is what. We saved as much "original" as we could- down to some bolts. We sprayed/painted the bottom of the cab so she will not rust out ever again. The bed liner is also a "rhino" sprayed liner to prevent rusting. She does have some flaws (we are NOT professionals)....see photos for some restoration flaws near the bottom of the doors/lines....There are minor dings here and there and some "line" imperfections due to "after market" parts claiming to fit 70's models when really they are made to fit 80's models!!!!!! THEIR FLAW NOT OURS... MADE ME MAD but worked in the long run... just not PERFECTLY......also the passenger side door is a slight lighter color due to having the truck painted and when installing the wing windows (after paint) there was a defect in the door the company sent us (the wing windows did not fit properly), therefore we had to order another door and they could not match the paint EXACT... can hardly notice the color difference but had to mention it due to "PARTICULAR PEOPLE" (which I do NOT blame them- I would too)... Please see photos to determine for yourself.
Any questions please feel free to ask. Along with the truck comes the original motor and some paperwork along with the original window sticker.. The Wild Bill floor mats do NOT come with the truck.
