Car description |

My dad wanted a classic car that he could take out and cruise. I found him this 1970 Monte Carlo in January 2013. I bought it andproceeded with a complete restoration. It was a very solid start but it needed everything. Allreceipts go with the car including the original window sticker andpictures of the progress.
All the bodywork was done first and the car was put in primer. The engine, transmission and rearend were removed. The underside was pressure washed and painted black. The fuel lines, brake lines, wheel cylinders, brake pads and shoes were replaced. The gas tank was sent out to be cleaned. All new front and rear suspension, including springs, ball joints, tie rods, idler arm, relay rod and shocks were installed. The original 12 bolt rearend was rebuilt 2:93 gears, the original turbo 400 transmission was rebuilt. The original motor was missing so I purchased a GM 350 crate motor adding vintage LT1 valve covers and a Edelbrock carburetor. A March serpentine belt pulley set up was added to finish off the motor. All the interior was done to factory fresh, the factory clock and all 4 power windows were rebuilt. Next thing was painting. It is a nice driver quality job. I painted it with Dupont base coat clear coat, there are 3 different silvers. The top is lighter silver with a dark silver pin stripe follow by a medium silver. Both bumpers are new as well as all the weatherstrips.
We have over $15000 inreceipts plus a year and a half of free labor, it was for my dad.
We never had the AC charged so the air does not work.
My dad put about 150 miles on the car and lost interest, instead of having this nice Monte Carlo sit we decided to let it go. Serious bidders only please, thereserve is not out of line but it is less than thereceipt total. Any questions please call Scott 702-339-0572.
