Car description |
---|
For sale is my 57 Chevy Bel Air 2 door post. The gentleman I purchased it from owned the car for over 20 years and it has always been stored indoors over that time. It is currently road worthy and I drive it to back and forth to work occasionally. I bought it to paint but just can't bring myself to change the look of it and I also have another one torn apart getting ready for paint. Very Solid Car, Extremely Powerful
Features:
-454 Big Block installed with CCI big block brackets, headers, oil pan and crossmember. Rebuilt top end including small chamber, closed chamber heads, vintage Edelbrock C396 intake and valve covers, FlowMaster blueprinted Holley carb, new cam/lifters, Crane Gold roller rockers, new double roller timing chain, vintage air scoop, mini starter, Desert Cool 4 row radiator, new 3" exhaust with Dynomax Bullets, new engine wiring harness
-M21 manual trans fully rebuilt with vintage vertical gate inline shifter and boot, resurfaced flywheel, new Centerforce Dual friction clutch, throwout bearing and pilot bushing, vintage blowproof bellhousing
-Original 4:11 rear with tight posi and vintage air shocks, new front shocks, rebuilt original wheel cylinders and master cylinder, new gas tank and sending unit with new 3/8 fuel line run to the front
-Interior consists of vintage GM bucket seats and vintage, custom covered door panels and rear seat, full array of vintage Sun gauges including tach all working including the lights, original 60 Impala steering wheel, nice headliner and rear package tray. There's no carpet, but a new black carpet in the box is included.
-Body is original with minor filler around quarters and on passenger side. Original quarters, fenders, floors, trunk floor, glass, stainless and chrome. Floors are solid with no rust except in the support brackets and some filler was applied to the outside edges of the trunk floor where it meets the wheel wells. Chrome has some pits, but still looks presentable as does stainless.
-Brand new 15x7 front and 15x8 rear wheels, brand new Cooper Cobra 255/70-15 in rear and 235/70-15 in front or if you prefer i have a set of original GM 15x6 with original Goodyear Power Streak II tires and 55 Chevy dog dish hubcaps. Rear wheels are chrome reverse style with original Kelly Springfield 9.00 Cheater slicks and tubes or just 4 original 15x6 wheels with 55 dog dish hubcaps.
The car is straight out of the late 60's/early 70's naturally and not aged to look that way. The few new parts the car needed like the front wiring are made in the USA or NOS like the rear license plate light. Almost everything is original, vintage GM. No billet or likewise on the vehicle. Gets lots of attention at the car shows with the majority people insisting the car be left as-is. All lights, wipers, horn, etc work. Clean and clear Tennessee title registered in my name.
These cars are getting harder and harder to find for reasonable prices and this one is ready to do some body work, paint and have a nice hot rod
Thanks.
