Car description

1955 Chevrolet 2 door sedan (post) Clean California title, registration paid up to June 2018. 400ci Small Block Engine casting #330817. Has some nice "period" pieces on it. Original Aluminum Z/28 or LT-1 GM "Winters" intake manifold. Holley 3310 GM Part #3878261-EH (Original 396ci 375hp carburetor). Pertronix Ignitor converted distributor with Pertronix Flamethrower coil. Large Griffin aluminum crossflow radiator. My uncle was known to use Crower or Schneider cams since they were located in the area, so it may have a mild cam from one of those manufacturers. Vintage 4 into 1 headers with Hooker Competition Turbo Mufflers. Muncie 4 speed casting #3925660, I am unsure of what gearset. Hurst Competition Plus Shifter Feel free to ask any questions and thanks for looking! 1955 Chevrolet 2 door Sedan (post) - 400 SBC - 4 speed Muncie

1955 Chevrolet 2 door sedan (post)
This was my uncle's car who passed a few years ago. He bought it when he was in high school in 1970. It was stored in an enclosed garage for a few years and started occasionally. It has been driven around a little bit. Runs good, can sit and idle without overheating. I would recommend inspecting all mechanicals before driving regularly
Clean California title, registration paid up to June 2018.
It idles smooth and does not "lope". Vintage 4 into 1 headers with Hooker Competition Turbo Mufflers.
Muncie 4 speed casting #3925660, I am unsure of what gearset. Hurst Competition Plus Shifter
9 Inch rear end, I believe it was a Currie "Crate" rearend with 3.50 gears and with a Traction Lock or Trac Lock differential.
Classic Performance Products (CPP) Tubular Upper and Lower Control Arms and Front Disc Brake Kit
American Racing 15" Torque Thrust D Wheels, like new tires, 165R15 skinnies up front, with 266/70/15s on the rear.
It is set up like a street/race car - Harwood fuel cell with sender (12 or 15 gallon?) and dual batteries in the trunk (batteries are new) in the trunk. No heater. No turn signal switch in the column, switch for turn signals is a toggle switch in the dash (down for left, up for right). Headlight switch is a toggle switch - turns headlights and parking lights on at once. Has a keyed "Off-On" switch, with a push button switch for the starter. Speedometer, and factory gauges are not hooked up. Parking Brake is also not hooked up. Aftermarket gauges under the dash work except for fuel gauge which reads above full when some gas is put in fuel cell, so I'm guessing it is the wrong style sender for the gauge. Inner fenderwells have been removed (don't have them). Has a fiberglass lift-off hood with pins in all four corners.
Paint is a good "10 footer" and has some shine to it, I believe he painted it in the 70's. There is some rust bubbles showing through in a few areas (left side below trunk lid, lower front corner of drivers side door, cowl in front of windshield on drivers side) - see pics. There is some rust in the underside on the passengers side floor board or toe board, and some in the "A" pillar near the windshield - see pics. Some windows have cracks - drivers front, drivers rear, passengers front, and the windshield has a 'bulls-eye' stone chip) - see pics. Chrome bumpers and trim have some pitting, but still have a shine to them.
