Car description |

1955 First Series Chevy Pickup with its original NAPCO 4X4 Conversion.
This truck has its original Numbers matching Napco 4WD kit. NAPCO Serial Numbers on front axle and transfer case match. It is a very early kit with Serial Number A1225. Drivers side Pumkin on Front axle. 3600 is a 3/4 ton truck.
This truck has had a full chassis restoration over the last few years. Completely torn down to the frame.
The original 235 Inline 6 cylinder was rebuilt by well known local Machine Shop, Rex Huchinson Racing.
The transfer case Front and rear axles all rebuilt, New seals, bearings, whatever was needed. All new brakes, brakes lines, cylinders etc.. New shocks, New clutch, everything. It runs and drives very good with only a few miles since chassis was rebuilt. New spindles when front end was rebuilt and new Selectro Hubs. All driveshafts and U joints are new. All Brake and fuel lines are new.
The truck has three of the impossible to find 19.5 Inch solid wheels and two 17.5 inch solid wheels.
Tires are decent but I was waiting to do those until I found a few more correct wheels of either size. (they do come up on ebay).
The truck is still needing cosmetic/ body restoration, or drive as is?
It is all put back together now and a running driving truck. I have a new wiring harness that needs to be installed correct for 54/55 3600 Trucks. I did not want to install until the truck was painted.
It has many many new parts, Mirrors, Door Handles (inside and out) with new keys, New floor mat (not installed), new headliner (not installed), New bed strips and bolt kit, Brand new radiator, New door panels, New tail lights, new front and rear Bumpers, new front bumper splash pan, new napco emblems etc...
The body is pretty good. Cab corners and floors are solid. Front pillars under door pockets have rust, But doors are solid and close perfect, It just the very bottom. And the passenger rear stake pocket on the bed has rust. Otherwise solid. Windshield has a crack on passenger side.
Interior is clean, dash has no cuts, gauges are clean.
It has a 12 volt ignition circuit with a newer battery installed so it can be run and driven as is. I have been driving it locally while working on it. Will need at very least the wiring harness installed to be a legal driver with lights.
The truck came from Utah a few years ago and I have clear Utah Title for it that matches the original vin tag.
I can hold the truck for 30 days while transportation arrangements are made. I can deliver to the port of Los Angeles/Long Beach for $350 and Oakland / Richmond for $250.
